Hey man I have an 05 zhp with a salvage title and I've maintained it well Mechanically with 160k. Really excited to watch this, take notes, and see what I need to pay attention to. This is like a mix between carpassionchannel (where I started learning about building) and a vlog so I love it. Best of Luck!!!
Love the detailed step by step! Will definitely consider bottom mounting instead, keep up the detailed post might just make me pull the trigger on this instead hahaha😂
19:13 I had issues with my copped nuts backing off using the N54/B58 studs. They're too short and don't give enough thread material to properly bite into. Currently building this new engine to use stock M54 studs+copper lock nuts!
Bro you should show a turbo build with a k64 manifold, in Europe they have a really good kit that is a lot quicker and cheaper than most builds tbf. Another guy on RUclips doing a turbo build made a 7 pt series on it and it’s quite good
Do you prefer the top mount or bottom mount turbo setup.? And which one do you think is best.? (Currently planning to turbo a ZHP 3.0 in my E39 with a 8hp70)
Yeah on pump. Iv ran 20psi on e85 and it will last a few times lol. On e85 probably safe on 13-14. But it comes down to tune and what life your m54 had.
@@hellrotgarage Im using M52TUB28 that has 100k miles, mint condition and MaxxECU Race. Worried slightly with ring gap as they seem smaller than M54. Thought about running around 13 psi.
im fuckin ready for a 15pt series
Respect for the camera work while working on the engine with one hand.
Thank you pei330ci

Depends on thickness of manifold flange. Iv had nothing but good luck with them. But yes definitely make sure the nuts engage.

You probably know the guy python don?
Does anyone know if the m54 aluminum block handle boost?
Why are you using a shorter engine mount?
I already have the spa motor mount, will it work with a stock style poli-engine bushing?
Looking forward to this build. Have been thinking about going turbo for some time now.
I didn’t see the oil pan on BeRacings website. Got a link?
I think its too new right now. Not listed yet

@@hellrotgarage Good. I'm thinking of buying an e46 330. Would you consider it's a good choice for daily/drift car. Zero experience on drifting
