    DG is definitely the man for tuning these! I've had my b30 m12 studs and decomp plate) on boost for the last year/20k miles @ 15psi no problems! Just built another engine with max rods and fcp pistons that'll be ready to go in soon!

    Stock pistons m54b30 are good for +700hp 😂

      @@lukesmancave4214 yes but you cannot have any knock but this same rule apply to forged builds also.. many dont know but actually stock b30 crank is forged and also rods are forged.. even when they look slim and weak the whole stock engine I have seen 680hp unopened with good tune and stuff.. Only e85 can make this because its knock free.. but reliable 500hp can take pump gas stock unopened but need to put timing down.. With timing these engines produce power.. I have m54b25 what have stroked to b30 with b30 forged crank, m50 nonvanos rods and b30 stock pistons and block is machined for thise big m50 rods and in the head have machined 12mm ”arp” bolts and head is tightened 120nm. This setup handle 700hp and around 1.5bar max boost.. head hasket is cometic metal just littlebit thicker than stock so comp maybe 10:1 and e85.. This setup produce 420hp and 580nm with only 0,7bar boost.. project is still going and next is to go check 1bar boost how much will be and if my injectors (1000cc ev14) are enough we test 1.3bar and 1.5bar.. to see how much will raise the hp.
      Only use forged pistons if use pump gas and want over 500hp or you know you gonna have bad tune or injectors at limit.. there is no other reason for change stock pistons because they the strongest of all the m52 and m54 pistons.. Just remember put new pistonrings and grind the pistonrings cap littlebit bigger than stock and there is room for temperature.

    Can i ask why you put forged rods when pistons are the weak part of this engine? I run 430hp on m54b30 stock unopen engine lol

      @ right, most likely tuner dont know nothing about this engine. M54b30 rods and pistons can handle 500-550hp unopen engine on e85 race fuel. On ron100 pump fuel can do 450hp unopen engine

      @ btw i run stock ecu with maf to map conversion. If you need any help with direction whom maps ms43 ecu contact R&S Auto Works in Norwich.

      I asked on the forums. who else to map the MS43 for turbo application. Literally everyone said DG
