I will never shut up about how much of an ace Soyeon is. That woman can rap her ass off, dance so passionately, sing so beautifully, on top of being a brilliant writer, producer, and leader. Not to mention how pretty I think she is. Just such a well rounded idol.
I always love seeing the clip when Soyeon was on Produce 101 and her team was working on recording a song with a well known producer for one of the episodes and he had her sing for the heck of it instead of just rap and she did really well and surprised him and he made a comment to the effect of what's the rest of the team supposed to do if the main rapper can also sing so well.
Minnie’s vibrato control is super impressive. Yuqi sounds amazing, and Miyeon and Soyeon were the least surprising in that I’ve always known they were incredible. Shuhua is a vocal chameleon! I have no idea what her “real” voice even sounds like because she can change it for every song I swear!
The girls gives shuhua the highest charge to be the one who sings Soojin lines. Probably the hardes tsk cus Soojin's tone it has to be one of the hardes tones to replicate: a rare mixture of sweetness and sexyness with a kind of sadness attached to it. And she has taken that honor very seriouly. I cant be more proud of her! Also her voice is realy realy special. The same for everyone of our girls tbh. Being a nevie it has to be the best desicion i make in my life lol ❤️💜
Part of what makes them successful is that since Soyeon produces and composes so much of their music and writes with their voices in mind and knows what they can do vocally, she can really leverage that uniqueness. If some outside composers wrote most of their music and they worked with different producers all the time, I doubt they would take as much advantage of Yuqi's deep tones or Minnie's huskiness.
@@thefunni-est it's not that simple first we don't know if Soojin even wants to be back, second building your own company is much harder than just leading a group, for Soyeon and the Group the Best option would be to be in some sub label that would give them the same artistic freedom that CUBE give them but also would treet them better than CUBE
Thanks for your reaction! (G)I-dle's Killing Voice appearance was HEAVENLY!!!! They were the first 4th gen Kpop group to be selected for the Killing Voice treatment, and they really showed why. They were so incredibly relaxed and playful during their performance--they really showed off their amazing chemistry. It was so refreshing to see Soyeon and Miyeon being so cheerful and playful, when they are normally more reserved and introverted. This medley of songs proves that their discography is really impressive, and I am already looking forward to their next comeback!!!! ; )
It's crazy that Soyeon wrote ALLLLL of those songs (except Popstars). So much diversity in their discography. But yeah, they sound so fantastic. The best thing about it is that they sing in their natural voices. The decision to not use the voice coaches that Cube provided and find coaches that would help them retain their unique characteristics was a wise decision.
I'm so proud of Shuhua for how far she came and the fact she's singing Soojin's parts always gets to me. We know nobody loves Soojin as much as Shuhua. Honestly, it's no surprise Soyeon's voice sounds exactly like it does in the studio bc she literally always sings live. She's the ultimate ACE of kpop cause not only she can perform, she can produce, write, coreograph and direct herself. (G)Idle Killing Voice is flawless... they're so talented and charismatic.. it's just mind-blowing

Her voice is stunning but also, in my opinion, the least unique of the group- despite being vocally fabulous. So I'd absolutely rather listen to Minnie or Yuqi solos- they are outstandingly unique.

I was literally shook when I saw them in Chicago last year - their show was amazing - their vocals, their energy, their chemistry, and their charisma.... blew me away. But Shuhua....
They are the best. Their vocals were different but they blended together it make best harmony ....Their voices in each song are different depending on the song, Especially Shuhwa, her voice is very different in each song. She is a chameleon in terms of tone. Some are like Soojin, sometime like Yuki, and some song like Miyeon and some songs sound like her own voice when her speaking
By the way, K-pop bands are practicing all of this stuff to do it on live stages. This is NOT a studio band. They've probably done this stuff live hundreds of times live. They are stunningly good at this!! And they blend so well together from LOTS of practice. These girls are definitely professionals to the max!!!

I highly recommend taking a look at K/DA!! They’re a fictional K-pop group with characters from the video game League of Legends. Although the 5 of them performed the song “POP/STARS” together, the only official members of K/DA are Miyeon and Soyeon. Apart from “POP/STARS”, K/DA has songs such as “More” where the two members reprise their roles and “I’ll Show You” where Nayeon, Sana, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of Twice were featured on the track. They also have vocals and other songs performed by western artists. They aren’t an “actual” group, but I think their songs are super awesome!!

I'm a total soon bias so I kinda stopped listening to g-idle so religiously as before. but seeing shuhua covering soojins part brings tears in my eyes, both seeing her growing up into a beautiful woman like her and giving a full-circle feeling as shuhua is also a loyal soojin fan and soojin (as shuhua's mom and unrequested lover) would be so proud of her as well.
I always felt this is what divides I-DLE from the other groups; their unique sounds, and raw talent. Soyeon has allowed them to each develop themselves musically and let their voices be theirs alone, and then fit the music to showcase their talents. Shuhua is the lone individual whoi hasn't taken formal musical training prior to becoming an idol, but she has worked hard and gotten very good by grit and constant practice. They're all so talented and wonderful, and I love them all.

G-idle and xg are both it for me. If I had a wish for xg it’s that they all work to find their inner Soyeon. She’s a machine as a leader and pioneer. And her ability to max out her and her group’s talents every track is unmatched. G-idle is just elite.

Knowing how Soyeon writes the songs with each members unique voices in mind, I'm incredibly proud of Shuhua because she has to cover both her parts and Soojin's. And while both girls have soft vocals, they're still very different. It mustn't have been easy. Overall, I-DLE has always been pretty good live, but they're definitely even more comfortable lately.

if y'all haven't seen / heard Minnie's solo covers and Yuqi's solo covers, well, buckle up is about all I can say. These women slay.

Miyeon has those YG training vocals, her low register is one of the best I've ever heard in kpop
