In this video, I take you through the awesome new features in the latest version of iMovie on iPad and iPhone.
iMovie is a free video editing app from Apple and in the latest update they have added some great new features including:

Kinemaster is good but I don’t like their subscription model. I recommend LumaFusion if you want more features.

Hey Pete I’m back again and watching this video again I just want to Thankyou for doing this one and you have presented it so well. I’m a shift worker and a family man so I am slowly chipping away at a project that Has been three years in the making.
I’ve just finished shooting additional footage and I had someone reverse some footage something I couldn’t do and also the stars aligned and my daughters husband brought his dji drone from America and shot a heap of footage for me. So some major hurdles for me that were stalling the project have been smashed. It’s coming together nicely and it’s so far only approximately one minute long!.
I’ve come back to see how to add the audio from another clip to be playing in the back ground and so I’m getting excited. As I can see the light at the end on the tunnel because I have the music in my mind and I have to create that some how and I’m not even a musician ha ha ha and I have the lyrics to go with it. So still a free hurdles to pass through but I just thought I would give you an update as you may be interested to know you are inspiring me to make the vision I have in my mind become a reality for my channel.

Yes, unfortunately there is only one overlay track, so you are limited to one picture in picture.
Wow, thanks for the video. I haven't been paying much attention to IMovie lately. Your video has inspired me to play with it again.
This is an old question but I'm hoping that a new option has evolved, is there a way to show a piece of written music why playing it in the background. The last time I asked you this, I couldn't size the music so it would fit properly on the screen. I believe it was too large. Do you think one of these updated additions would achieve that end?

Hey Judi. Interesting question? Yes I remember that one. iMovie would “zoom in” and fill the screen meaning you couldn’t show an image that was wider than the resolution of the video.
I think you could do his now actually by adding a background image or video, then using picture in picture which gives you full control of size and position.

Yeah, they are pretty darn cool. Not quite up to LumaFusion and other more full featured apps, but considering it is 100% free, it’s pretty awesome.
