Man....I miss the video game magazine era. There was just something about flipping through a magazine to see game announcements and interviews. Unfortunately it was an inevitability with the simplicity of the internet and live streaming.
It really was, and going back to these issues is still a joy flipping through these pages. I need to buy up more of these classics before they’re all gone.
They really did them dirty. Just shutting them down without letting finish their new issue. At the very least they could’ve said two more issues and make the second one a farewell issue. I doubt it would’ve cost them THAT much.
@@ScorpioCesarcade Agreed. Corporations have a fun way of doing that and even some businesses. My wife worked for a company that was obviously going under and they kept telling the employees No don;'t worry... everything is fine... Then one day they just said hey, today is the last day we're gonna be open.
I really don't know who was to blame for that but I'm always going to blame Gamestop because I emailed their customer service about it and they got back to me like a couple of years later.
Wow I remember when I signed up for the GS pro membership I never even got the option for a physical magazine. They store associate was like ok they're going to get emailed to you! 😆😆
So game informer is what I chose to collect instead of nintendo power because it was still active and I was able to find old ones easy. As soon as they shut down I canceled my pro membership lmao don't shop there enough only wanted the magazine
I don't blame you for cancelling, their benefits suck anyways. Game Informer was always great because they didn't focus on just one console. And being an owner of all the consoles of those generations made them the easy choice.

So crazy. Crazy how they were in the middle of the new one and just told everyone we done.

I had the same problem they would never send them or they would show up months late lol

I remember being subscribed for about a full year with Game Informer. I enjoyed the magazines for what they were, but never re-subscribed 😅
Yeah, if it was in the more recent years then I don’t really blame you. Their issues during the early 2000-2010 issues were peak.

@@ShellySteamDeck oh tell me about it! I remember them doing that to me once. They were pushing the digital agenda hard even back then.
