Nice pickups dude! I love L.A Noire, preordered it from GS just like you and it was fantastic. Never seen that complete version on PS3 before, very cool. I still need to play The Last Guardian. Outer Worlds is a total banger game. Idk if you have these already but I recommend you Sleeping Dogs, 3D Dot Game Heroes (not cheap), King of Fighters 13, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 on the PS3.

I haven't been to one yet but I like the idea of the pivot by game stop as physical media for new games will become more and more rare so they will need to stay in business somehow but the condition of the games you showed and the fake cases and manuals are concerning. I'll stay away from GameStop and stick to my retro game stores. Will be curious to see how it is in a year. Thanks for some insight!

If the figure was articulated, included lights and sound, and included a base desplay, THEN it would justify the price. and make it at LEAST 2ft tall. THen maybe worth that price.

With these retro gamestops its def a case by case basis (no pun intended) some of the prices are justified due to the obscurity. The fact of spending $65 for a game that was $60 at release even with the market now i feel is criminal. To each his own, but also its preference of what everyone is looking for

Too little, too late sums up my opinion of anything they do. We've been telling them for years what they've done wrong and they've ignored us for too long. When your most profitable games are used, but you want to focus on harassing people into pre-orders instead, you're probably going to miss out on some profits. I was disappointed way back in the day when they stopped selling PS1 games and it's gotten worse ever since then. Something is wrong when a video game store has more room for Funko pops and Deadpool Chimichanga candy than wall space for games. The last time I went into a GameStop was when No Man's Sky for Switch was released. They told me that since I didn't preorder, I couldn't get the game day one and would have to wait 3 days and hope that somebody didn't pick up their copy. They don't even get copies of brand new games to sell in the event somebody wanders in wanting to buy the game on a whim. I walked to target, which was literally next door and they had plenty of copies. If they want people to spend money in their stores, they need to make it convenient to do so. That's why I have no faith in them surviving long term.

Cool video bro. The GameStops in my area aren't much better they look comparable to that first one you went to but, I always peak in when I'm passing by and get lucky that way. Just picked up SMT IV Apocalypse for $42 CIB and also found SMT IV cart only for $40 but, traded two unwanted games and used some points and got it for $8 so I'm happy a happy guy!

I think it's a good idea implemented way too late. I haven't been to one yet but every one I've seen in videos just feels like a graveyard for low dollar 360/PS3/Wii era junk... and not even a particularly large selection of junk at that. I know they're still in the process of forwarding all of their retro inventory to these stores but it's hard to imagine them being competitive with online resellers where you can buy the games cheaper, better condition, and right from your home vs taking a trip and praying the games you're looking for *might* be there. (And probably coming in a shitty replacement case with no manual and scratched up like a copy of Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Balls from a shit eating kid)

Yeahhh I wasn't impressed with the one I went to either and some prices were good but most were as high as ebay with worse quality

I’ve only been able to check out one GameStop so far in my wife’s GameStop and honestly it let me down. The selection was too limited to my liking. I’m not that into collecting 360, wii, and ps3 games unless it’s a game I really want.

Kane and Lynch was co-op right? I think i remember playing that one with my cousin back in the day but, never getting very far.
