Al parecer, este renacimiento de la guitarra tiene más que ver con el amor al instrumento, el sonido y otras cosas indígenas a la cuerda y la madera . . . nada que ver con el género, porque hay hombres que juegan "por ahí," más allá del reino de las meras notas unidas, más allá de los límites físicos y humanos: hombres como Luigi Attademo, Pepe Romero, Petrit Çeku, Andrea de vittis, Jósef Eötvós, and others. Me parece una cosa de cariño por el instrumento, inspirado por compositores maravillosos.
What an amazing concert! I was stunned by the transition from the first Barrios piece, which is played with much liberty, to the gigantic masterpiece Chaconne. Such programming is rare and must be hard to execute well.
I understand very little Spanish,and speak even less..but I could listen to her talk all day.Oh yeah,she can play the guitar some too.That encore was a jaw dropper.Such a joyful performance.
As spiritually uplifting, as powerful, as successfully risky, and as sonorous as an unenclosed Flentrop Orgran played by E.Power Biggs . . . This performance is a historical benchmark for the art of music- (on any instrument) as I've ever heard! You, Ms. Montesinos, did not merely "play," No, it was the all-out, well-prepared-for laying bear of J.S.
