Ironically, the coordinates one bugged me the most because he missed the point of why they are there-- the screen is the DEBUG screen that just HAPPENS to have coordinates as part of its use. Bedrock included them because players like having them, but the interface wasn't developed for coordinates. So finding it overwhelming is understandable, but also simply his familiarity with a version that "doesn't do that".

as a long time java player trying bedrock felt like being put in a padded cell. you cant download any mod off the internet, put it in the mods folder and have it work instantly, idk if you can even have mods. every menu seems to be trying to sell you a million things that would be free and easy to change in java, and it makes you realise how convenient having access to the game folder really is. i would be fine with it existing if it wasnt planned to eventually replace the original version since its more profitable

The fact that Bedrock doesn’t have as much information as Java’s F3 is actually a flaw. In Bedrock I don’t have the options to know what biome I’m in, maybe what block my cursor is on, where the chunk ends, etc. Especially because this information is important with commands which ARE NOT easier on Bedrock. Bedrock has fewer commands, less intuitive commands, and there are annoying parameters on the commands that are available, but Toycat doesn’t like Java commands because they’re case sensitive?!

1:06 - This one is very true. I have my own dedicated server that I don't have to pay for but it is quite difficult (especially port forwarding) and can be expensive if you want to run it on a separate computer. This is something I would like to see happen at some point because the multiplayer is kinda bad.
4:50 - Cheats are off by default. You turn them on through either world generation settings (like in bedrock) or by opening the world to LAN. That’s only slightly easier than bedrock edition, where you can exit the world, go into the world settings, and turn them on there. In both versions, you’re not forced to play with cheats or even have them on. This criticism doesn’t even make sense. This feels more like a criticism of members of the community that play the game differently than you than a criticism of the actual game.
5:34 - First of all, there is the tab key to automatically fill in commands. It only takes like half a second to switch gamemodes that way. Besides that, you can just press F3 and F4 at the same time to switch between gamemodes, which is significantly faster than typing it, which you have to do in bedrock. The commands are just as learnable in java than in bedrock. It’s just different. You also don’t need to type “minecraft:” (I feel this is mostly to make modding easier because this is how commands work with mods, but I don’t know for sure). The commands in Java edition are much more powerful than in bedrock edition (the main difference being that you can edit nbt data in Java), so that outweighs the fact that you have to type in lowercase (which is easier than capitalizing anyway).
7:58 - It is a bit confusing but I feel like more information is better. The F3 menu gives you lots of information that is useful to certain players. Bedrock edition only has coordinates. It doesn’t take that long to get used to the F3 menu. This is another instance of it just being different, not worse.
8:45 - The farlands weren’t an intentional feature. Removing a glitch that you like that makes the game unplayable at that position is not a valid criticism in my opinion. I would rather a functional game than a cool glitch, especially when I can just go into an older version of Minecraft to experience it.
11:19 - You don’t have to manually drag it to your inventory. You can press 1-9 to add it to your hotbar. Again, this is just different, not worse.
14:56 - I agree with these ones too.
19:45 - You’re right about this but it doesn’t matter in my opinion unless you think everyone has to play the game the way you like to. The game is about having fun so who cares if someone cheated in a survival world because they got bored or frustrated. With the advancements, it’s once again just different, not better (but I don’t like achievement hunting so it might be more important to people who do).
21:45 - I do agree that this version has worse flying and creative placing. Bridging this way is more of a preference thing as well, but I think it’s cooler for minigames (it doesn’t really make a difference anywhere else in my opinion) that you have to be looking backwards to bridge. It also makes more sense. You don’t need to learn any complicated jump strategies in order to bridge. As you did earlier, you just need to crouch, look backwards, and walk backwards while placing blocks. It’s easy.
I feel like a lot of these arguments come down to preference and not things that are bad about the game. The ones I agree with are the ones that are inconsistencies and things that are just objectively worse.
Also, about the microtransactions, it's not that they themselves are bad. It's that it's one of the main focuses of the game. Instead of adding these features that are on Java and not on bedrock, they just expand the store. On Java, everything is community based so the developers are more focused on adding cool features (like world gen settings) and fixing bugs (there are a lot of them still but it's not as buggy as bedrock edition) rather than on adding microtransactions.

@@strongshot_ probably because allot of these 'cons' only apply if you don't play Java, for me as a Java player I find bedrock really locked down and steril because it's so inaccessible, like Java you can do limitless customisation, with endless mods, skins, texture packs, and data packs but in bedrock you only get limited amounts of mods you have to pay for and all that.

@@aaronlouse9093 I can agree 1000%! I actually play Minecraft both on my phone and PC, and I can super easily tell everyone that the Java edition (people also call it PC edition sometimes) is faaarr more superior than Bedrock Edition! On Java, there are quite a lot of extra features that are missing on Bedrock (example: autofill when typing commands, spectral arrows, support for actual mods, banners on shields, spectator mode, more commands, etc..) and Java is also MUCH *MUCH* cleaner than Bedrock in many different aspects and isn't so buggy or "not-working-y" all the time. As some good examples: Java has an actual correctly functioning mob spawn/despawn system, mob farms are way superior because they actually work easily, there aren't as many bugs or issues in each update, redstone actually works properly, and there are no micro-transactions.
Bedrock also has a few good things that Java doesn't, but the cons outway the pros for me when talking about Bedrock
