Toilets….first if you can afford switch to electric because boaters tend to under pump when it’s manual. If you have a water maker switch to fresh water. It makes a huge difference on the components. There is too much minerals in salt water.
I disagree about the electric toilet. We have one electric and one hand pump. Both Jabsco brand. The electric is infinitely more problems than the hand pump. Fresh water would be nice (and we do have a water maker), but our water tank capacity is too small. You can mitigate the mineral build up with additives to your flushes periodically.
I got rid of all my toilet problems by switching to a marine airhead composting toilet. You can go like a month or more before emptying for two people. Then you just dump a baggie in the trash after a month. No more smell either. Just need an air vent hose. You might be able to get a bigger model as you probably have more space.
