Thank you for the rekindled memories! As a kid (like age 10-20), we would often jump into the water by the tip of the island near the harbor or even just swim over from North Beach and ride the inbound current through the cut with snorkels and masks and ride it around the the sandbar off the old Current Club. So stupidly dangerous and so much fun!
