The world was a better place with Jani still here. I kept hoping that he would beat his battle with alcohol and rise like a phoenix, but sadly it was not to be. In his prime there was not a better frontman of this genre of music. He had the whole package. He could write, phenomenal live and studio singer, play multiple instruments and engage the audience. I wish his estate would give his other works a proper release.
1000% agree. Jani was so underrated, and because of his timing, got lumped into the 80's hairband lot. Sure, he was part of that scene, but he offered so much more. He wrote ALL the Warrant songs, played multiple instruments, and completely pivoted as the music scene changed and put out his best work with Ultraphobic, Belly to Belly, and his solo effort Back Down to One. His loss is tragic. I hope that one day his estate will release the Jabberwocky album...and anything else he recorded.
Wow what a performance. Jani Lanes vocals are absolutely outstanding. What a front man. One of the best. Grateful to have seen them live on Dog Eat Dog Tour.
Rock n’ Roll church. 🤘⛪️ I remember when they used to have rock shows at Limelight back then. I missed this one but remember that Warrant played there because I wanted to go. 😂 A great memory to see these guys living the dream. 🙏
@@sully11012 Sorry Mike. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I was at a Gwar show at the Limelight in 1994 when it was a church. Never saw Warrant, at least I can't remember ever seeing them.
@@willieluncheonette5843LOL no worries. I'm pretty sure I was at this show. Dangerous Toys may have also been an opener along with Extreme. I miss those days lol

there is an mtv news bit that was filmed right before this show...i think it was mostly about warrant having a lot of bad press regarding what people thought of the cherry pie video.

RIP....Jani Lane
Just for the record. 80s bands were not referred to as "hairbands" until the late 90s..
To us it was just great rock and roll. We didn’t need to label it. I had just turned 30 when this concert happened.
And Grunge bands weren't labeled as Trash Bands til the 2020's😮
@@Chanta-b1h ya that makes you 64 ill be 50 this yr
Jani and Warrant were fucking awesome.
I was there. There were rumors of Jani being in then out of Warrant. We weren't sure if he would show up. Great show.
