Webbing is not intended to be used with a figure 8. It might work, but that's not best practice and the figure 8 likely wouldn't create enough friction to slow your descent sufficiently. I would recommend using the webbing for the anchor and harness and rope for the rappel line.

Hi, can I use webbing and figure 8 descender to rappel from a 4-storey condo in case of an emergency? I have slings for emergency harness. Thanks.
