Thank you for taking a stance on the Harry Potter fabric. Too often it gets swept under the rug. You're a real champion of the community.

Supporting trans people doesn't take away from lesbians; it strengthens the whole LGBTQ+ community. Thanks for taking a stand on this matter.
Thank you so much for not including Harry Potter fabric. I'm trans and a librarian and I feel like there aren't any spaces free from it. I would never keep the books away from people as a professional. That being said, personally it's a relief to see someone speak up about it.
I was a little worried I’d get hate on my video, but I really felt it needed to be said so I left it in. I’m pleasantly surprised with the support that part has received 🥰

I squealed so loud when you announced the pattern book would be available for purchase! I love that in the US we get a die with our physical order!!! So exciting!!!! I’m so excited for this year’s community quilt and cannot wait to send fabric in!

I enjoyed sending in multiple envelopes with just a couple of fabrics each. It was fun to pair them up and then see which blocks they wound up in. This year's will have remnants from the projects I made last year.
I like this idea. Instead of 1 envelope with 4 squares, send 4 envelopes with 1 square. It would be so wonderful to see each of your fabrics blended with others in the community.
@SuperMrsMar I did 2 pieces per envelope and 4 envelopes last year. I'll have to go through my project remnants to see what I can do this year.
So excited to see episodes throughout the year, instead of all at the end!

Bravo! I am so looking forward to contributing fabric this year! Have you though about fundraising cash for batting/backing/thread/your time (with extra funds being donated)? Just something to consider. (I would be happy to contribute in that way, too.) I have been following along on youtube (I'm old and forget that Instagram and tiktok exist!) and really enjoy the short video format for the blocks.
P.S. Thank you for taking a stand on the anti-trans nonsense by formerly popular authors. I suspect that these next four years may be especially difficult for the LGBTQ+ community and for trans-folk particularly, so we all need to stand up and speak up when we can!
He said someone donated backing fabric for the 2024 community quilt, so I'm sure he'd be open to it for 2025 too.

I have sticker of the 2023 quilt in my shop and will do the same for the 2024 quilt when it’s done. Sales of the sticker and now this pattern book help fund the behind the scenes of the project (like batting, thread, etc)
This is so cool, I'm excited to try this, I ordered the booklet and am already thinking about what bits of fabric I can send to you. I echo the thanks in saying no to the Harry Potter fabric. I thought I had subscribed last month when I was watching the 12 Days of Quiltmas but I missed you somehow, that has been corrected and I look forward to new videos from you!
Love that the pattern book is spiral bound. I take my books to Minuteman Press and have them spiral bound. It makes using them so much easier. Thanks for making your pattern book so easy to use, I got mine & I love it.

Hi Chris, thank you for all the inspiration. I have an Accuquilt Go but find it too big to use at the moment. I used my Christmas money to get a Me and am rediscovering the accuracy of Accuquilt. My son is trans so thank you for all that you do. ❤
Now I have to go through my stash to find some fun fabrics!!! I hope you will be getting some more pattern books in soon!!

Hi Chris, planning on sending a fabric contribution this year too. I will check out the book offer. I tried to make a financial contribution when you were so close to the 10000 goal but l could not get the transaction to go thru. I will contribute financially earlier this year as I so enjoyed watching the videos!
I found you too late last year to contribute fabric for the quilt, but I am definitely going to send some this year! I am so proud of the community for raising so much (and beating last year) in funds for the Trevor Project. This next fundraiser is going to be even better!
I love the idea of a community quilt. I would like to make one someday but I’m currently working on a crazy quilt because I have too many fabric scraps as well as a lot of other fabric.

Just a thought, why not have fundraising in a different month? People are usually already spending a lot in December for the holidays, so maybe more people would have the opportunity to give if you chose a less financially important month

I will.happily contribute to your 2025 project. I lived in Portland in the 1970s and remember it had a vibrant LGBTQ community even then.

When I mailed my fabric contribution to you last week, I addressed the envelope to Rose City Originals. In this video you recommend using Rose City Community Quilt as the preferred address. My apologies. I didn't see that info on your website. I hope my envelope doesn't get confused with other mail. I look forward to watching you create another wonderful quilt!

I was curious what types of fabric you're limiting this too. I make plushies and small things for my kids, so my fabrics vary quite a bit. Do you have a google doc or a pdf that people can check for all the rules/regs for this kind of project?
I have them posted on my website, but I’m pretty open to types of fabric as long as they are machine washable. If it’s something super light or stretchy? I’ll add a stabilizer to it.

I hope to send some fabric for this project. I am really disappointed about the author of Harry Potter books. I love the stories, but so disappointed in the author. Kind of spoils the books. Thanks for all you do. Love your videos.
