There was an OG at Big Wong( Dai Wong ), retired now that knew how to finesse the presentation of cutting chicken and duck. He was there when place originally opened some 45 or 50 years ago. The standing area would be jam packed with customers waiting for dine in or three deep with take outs, and this owner who was one of two guys cutting cold cuts, would put his hand on body of chicken and pull out tweezer to remove leftover feathers. His presentation in laying down cut chicken or duck was one of pure artistry that no one has every duplicated and definitely made the dish taste better. He was a hefty guy always in a white apron, "all love to your legacy".
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HARDWORK. New York is my spiritual city and your work gives me hope that despite all that has happened, that glorious city remains!
The most pleasant surprise, is the holistic experience that is re-watching an old Fungbros video, only to refresh your RUclips feed out of curiosity to see a new Fungbros video. Bless🙏
Thank You Fung Bros! Went to the Mott Street Eatery today and the foods were great!!! The Chinese BBQ place was as good and even better than a full service restaurant. The Tofu pudding is just like HK style. And everyone was nice there and great service!
Can't wait for the next episode. These exploratory food videos with you guys and all your homies is what we all need more. See the world, eat the world, speak to the people of the world. These places are what get the world moving and it's through these small businesses that help circulate money through the local community. Respect to all the vendors and respect to all the patrons that help keep the community alive.
Ahhhh you guys finally went to Big Wong!! That’s my favorite place to go to. Everything there is soooo good. I love it there so much like you have no idea
I ate Guo Tie (Mandarin 锅贴) or Wo Tip (Cantonese 鍋貼) at Saniwago the first week of January 202. They had a New Year special at 50% off. So I was able to get 8 tasty Guo Tie for $3.00! LUCKY! They were perfectly boiled and then pan-fried nicely for that crisp-charred skin. The spicy chili and tons of green onions made it even better.
Yay the chicken and mushroom rice bag was finally secured 😤😂🙌 the fried sweet potato stuffed thing you tried at the Canto spot is similar to a “tay” that my grandma who’s Toishan used to make us. The outside is sweet potato and mochi-like and the inside is meaty/savory but it’s in a dumpling form. Super yummy. Can’t believe this series has gone all the way up to ep 14 - I enjoy it a lot.
@theamazingsikskillz: I really enjoy the affordable meal episodes, it’s always delicious high quality food, and it is what’s most needed, and caters to majority of the people. chinese specifically always provide low cost meals and high, which is one of my concepts or running a restaurant or and business. in florida, we have low income areas where the chinese restaurants always have large meals of pork fried rice and four big fried wings for cheap, maybe $4 or 5 bucks. that’s a blessing for many people in the these areas, kind of like little ceasars pizza, use to be cheaper back in the days, but a lot of people can eat out for a good price and it’s really good. Yay.
@@bungummie Lol I know. But considering how many Asian videos I watch on youtube, u would think I would hear my last name more often so I wouldn't have to be so glad hearing it in this video lol.
I think the chinese yogurt spots are going to stay in some areas. I actually prefer it to most boba places. Stronger flavor, probably probiotic and good after a meal, similar price.
lol you know what you're going to have to do is go back to all the shops in previous videos to update if they're open or not and if anything has changed!
As much as I love ur food vids… this type of cinematic colour grading for food vids… is kinda turning me off. Hopefully there will be a better and more vibrate food vid in time to come. Always have to bump up brightness on devices by alot.
The 4 $ chicken and Mushroom set seemed pretty ordinary. Maybe flavor wise it's better than the disappointing visual. Quite the opposite the Dominican pork rice looked too delicious. Too bad nothing Dominican is sold here locally. It makes me curious since I've tasted Korean, Vietnam, and Thai dishes.
Lmaooo... no disrespect and I love your series, but the grasp of the language is a little sus, and Andrew said "popcorn Chicken" is from HK... street cred is gone bruh
im sry fung bros u guys are slowly dying down and u guys sound very sad but at the same time trying to rly gain back urself. initially u guys just wanted to do videos but after awhile the subscribers and views and likes came in and u guys just couldnt keep it up so normally u guys would feel sad and demoralised a lil but still, at least the content u guys are pumping out are still the same for ppl who rly wanna travel and eat food like how u all claimed, but gotta do smth diff if u guys wanna grow again just my. 2 cents

That chicken mushroom rice is such a steal for $4
Wow, I would never have known about some of these places if you guys hadn't introduced them. And I pass through Chinatown all the time.

Nope, you gotta do at least 1 more can't end on 14 cuz in Chinese it means definitely die 😂
It's nice and awesome having my last name said so much in a video lol.
Wong aka the most common Chinese last name lol
@@bungummie Lol I know. But considering how many Asian videos I watch on youtube, u would think I would hear my last name more often so I wouldn't have to be so glad hearing it in this video lol.
It would have been hilarious if the lid to the chicken and mushroom just popped off and it all fell on the floor while he was holding it up.
Do cheap eats at Queens and Brooklyn.
You guys should collab with China Mac, would be dope.
finally unlocked the chicken mushroom dish
Can you roundup your top 5/10 from all the cheap eats videos? Be great to know comparisons between the vids:)

"El Sitio," means "the Place" in Spanish, accent's on the first syllable: SI-tio.
Thumbs up 👍
Did you get to keep the claypot lol
😊
vegan plates look great
26:44 - I spy Andrew Yang poster. :)

lol, this not cheap at all. y’all out of cheap eats: time to hit jersey up, and check out their spots.
Hey, I’m the first to comment! Can I get a discount!!
Can someone teach the white guy how to properly hold chopsticks? 🤨
This video filter is too dark…
Love both Asian representation and kinda dislike D So's biased stance.

If you don't have hands you can't talk like a new yorker.
You don't need your hands to talk folks.
Just saying.
Looks so delicious 🥟
