- in this video we show you a quick and simple way to test your golf cart with just a couple of jumper wires and a multimeter.
I searched the internet and I didn't find any videos on this subject that would show easily how to do this, so I made one ;)
basically you bypass the solenoid and energize the controller bypassing the on/off key (ignition) lol
as long as you have full pack power or close to it this should work with most Curtis controllers..
I'm just a shade tree mechanic I'm not a "golf cart mechanic" and I am learning as I go, so feel free to comment and ask questions but don't ask me anything too technical cuz I might not have the answer for you LOL
Thank you for the video.
This worked for my western cart also. I replaced solenoid… still didn’t work until I bypassed. Does this mean the controller is bad?
How do you test the controller with the multimeter I'm having an issue with the motor not being pushed by the controller. The motor will engage sometimes when flipping the reverse and forward switch back and forth it will suddenly jerk with power but not variable with the pedal only full on speed makes me think there's something wrong in the controller. The forward reverse which I've completely disassembled cleaned and made sure everything works properly and tested with multimeter variable speed controller / rheostat is good too on the ohms.
I'm sure you can test resistance between terminals on controller to find out if it's bad or good.. I don't know those specs..
If you jump a wire across the 2 wires for the gas pedal or (potentiometer) that should be full throttle..
@@portlandlocalchurch8168 I figured it out a little while back It was the actual controller itself burn out. Replaced it with a new one works fine.
b- to m- jumper will bring them to life aswell little easier less wires this bypasses the controller all together to aid in diagnosis in situations where solenoid clicks but motor doesnt move.
My solenoid will not click unless I put power to orange wire on solenoid any ideas or suggestions
Tried b to m and nothing happens
My golf car 2007 model
Not starting every thing is ok
Wirring issu plz solved
Thanks man.
How to fix an easy go, golf cart, directional signals, and headlights
Good
You’re a god
I tried that but soon as I touch the positive the wheels spin with out power to the blue
What is happening?
I did this and it works. Does this mean your controller is good or bad if this bypass works?
Same here… ran jumpers and it works what is the issue lol
You said Press the "Gas Pedal", Don't you mean "Electron Pedal". Pressing Electron Pedal Increases Electron Flow.
Also, the Gas Pedal should Really be called the Air Pedal, as it actually increases Air Flow, and causes more Fuel to Flow. Accelerator Pedal may be more accurate for all.
Your Video was Usefull and Helpfull, Thanks
Leaving a like. Later
Was I supposed to laugh?
Because I didn’t

What if dont move?
Is the power connection of the curtis controller that you attached to the throttle connection? I want to try this bypass but my controller is an alltrax and does not have a connection labeled as power. Thanks!
Mine was not labeled as power, but 2 of the 3 small wires went to the pedal , so that leaves the 3rd wire and narrows that one down to the power
