    Filled in some "blanks" and VERY well put across. I actually went looking for Lynsay on the Coppice as a friend of mine knew her. The other sad part is that our justice system is not fit for purpose this bloke should NEVER be released.

    These stories as you said Chris need to be retold,the victims are always forgotten and the perpetrators seem to be the ones remembered.The Yorkshire Ripper is a classic example, his notoriety was such that his victims( the real tragedy) are overlooked.Well done mate,your video was respectful and obviously well researched.Great content mate.

    This one was really close to home for me. There was a definite tension in the air in the area, people didn’t know if this was a one off thing or if it could happen again. Seeing the posters go up on every available lamp post and in peoples windows. Seeing the posts of people organising search parties. (We had a young baby at the time and didn’t take part, but we walked the local woods frequently - and still do. We were a lot more vigilant and I would often think “what’s that” and climb into a bush partly hoping not to find anything at all.) I remember one day during the middle of the search efforts seeing two people dressed in suits walking towards our front gate. We had just spent well over an hour with a crying small person trying to get her to sleep. And what I thought was a couple of religious door knockers were making a b-line for our front door with no idea that they were about to wake up a sleeping demon. I scrambled for the keys and threw the door open as the guy was about to knock hushing him almost aggressively before stepping out towards him and closing the door behind me. Turns out he was a detective and looking for CCTV that might help. I don’t think he expected a sleep deprived new father to ambush him as the door opened. But he was understanding!

      We weren't sure to cover this story or not, but people did contact us about it and as the case was closed, we feel it's not like we are informing people of a story no one had heard about and we think we covered it sensitively. Just hope the family are finding some closure but it will take time to heal.

    We searched and searched for poor Lindsey, I remember me and a group of friends and some other people we didn’t even know. We were out in the local forest areas l, searching and putting up posters WELL into early morning hours. To the point we became delirious by the end of it, the need to find her mixed with the FEAR of finding her. It was awful, but absolutely nothing compared to what Lindsey suffered. It’s crazy that it’s been so long since this happened, I remember it so clearly as I’m sure many of us locals do. The cemetery she was found in, was RIGHT behind my old home so this felt immensely personal. Im glad she was found, I just wish we had been able to find her before it was too late.

The Lindsay Birbeck story we were reluctant to do to begin with, but a couple of people politely asked us to cover it. Cardiac Hill was a difficult one to pin down. Many said it was the path we were on so we had to go with that 🫤. But thanks for clarifying Konix. That was the first time we had walked in that location, got to say, not a place I would want to visit alone. That might be because of what happened, but it just felt claustrophobic in places.

    Good video Chris, but I do take issues when anyone with learning differculties are prosecuted for any crime. I was waiting for you to mention DNA linking the young lad. If that was my son I would demand it as the case of Stefan kiszko and the forced and fabricated evidence the police made up imprisoning him on a crime he never committed

    • @Jkk55
      @Jkk55 Год назад +2

      Just out of curiosity did Rocky deny being involved? (Apart from being paid to get rid of the body) did I hear correctly that his parent took him to the police surely, they must have had reason to do so?

    • @paulmurphy2144

      @@Jkk55 my first inclination was they must have alot of respect and faith in their own son. Still say the police have fitted up, many people with learning differculties up in the past for a quick conviction. Listening to Chris I never heard DNA linking the boy to the crime, which to me sounds very weird and suspicious. If you read Timothy Evans statements, he confessed to actually killing his wife and we all know the truth there.
