Sofia (and probably her somewhat overly supportive boyfriend) thought she had the same value as Alex, and missed out on $10m+ as a result.
did she get nothing??Alex is the only person now on call her daddy? Sofia quit? But both of them started it..I dont think sofia casually left taking no ownership and money
@@29subhra she did not own call her daddy, Barstool did. That was the whole fight, Sofia wanted out of her contract but Alex stayed and at the end of her contract Barstool gave her back ownership of the Call Her Daddy IP.
@@29subhra it seems impossible to believe but Sofia did indeed fumbled the big in an absolutely epic fashion. She left the show with ZERO ownership stake in the show.

Storytelling and framing in this feels perfect. It's like the Netflix quality and the Creator economy subject matter. Could see this being a much bigger RUclips Original series of something down the line ez.
the fact that I didn't know about any of the persons mentioned or the show but still ended watching the whole video tells how awesome are you two people and an absolute masters as story tellers. alot better than people who just talk crash.

i mean i understand alexs frustrations on doing most of the editing work for the show- and i can see that sophia wasn’t the main focus, but if she had honestly just told her why she was getting paid more and why i think it wouldn’t have gotten that bad

Amazing stuff! 10:45 displays the beauty of the video. When Kinsey says "'Not necessarily a sidekick, but maybe give a funny story here or there" about Sofia, there's a shot of Alex taking centre frame and doing some wacky shit at the airport, with Sofia standing awkwardly in the background.
That's the thing about editing. It's about the nuances.

No question Sofia fucked up on the deal but the CHD episodes after Alex went solo are kinda trash ngl. Definitely was 1000x better when they were together
I've never listened to this podcast but I think many podcast creators ignore that fact. I have stopped listening to two podcast that made such changes. Especially when a two host situation, when it's 3, one can leave and it doesn't get super weird if they get a new one. Alex should have just been more honest, and Sofia didn't see the big picture.

Absolutely love how you both tell a story. I didn’t even know about all this until I watched your video. I am so sad for Sophia. It’s kinda heartbreaking after you create this huge of a show with someone and you are just erased from the history of it.
If you look into it, it was her boyfriend who was in her head the entire time. When the deal at the roof top was offered, she should have taken it. Imagine being offered a guarantee $500K plus a higher percentage of merch sales and also keeping 100% of the IP. Sofia did much less work than Alex when it came to driving the podcast and the editing. Sofia became greedy and it cost her millions

One thing I’ve learned from my own disappointments/failures and successes in business is that when struggles like this happen and you find your business or career backtracking or starting over again, dial back or reset your ego. It just looks dumb hollering from the back of the line. Dial it back, get light on your feat and finesse your way back to the top 👍🏼
