This is my arrangement of Matt Maltese's "As the World Caves In" for drum corps. This song is hauntingly beautiful, and I thought it would be perfect as a ballad. All rights go to Matt Maltese, this is simply my take on it.

It may just be the MIDI messing with my brain, but this arrangement sounds like it could be the conclusion/credits theme of the best video game I have ever played. This feels like a take on the song where we survived our imminent deaths and prevailed alongside our love instead of succumbing to nuclear annihilation.

THANKS! I use musescore for my arrangements and compositions. It’s extremely powerful and easy to use for a free software
@@ianbruns7103 ohh wow, I see. I also usrd Musecore but I don't know you can make score in it, but you have to pay right?
Nope! The actual computer program is completely free. The only thing that requires a purchase is the “pro” membership on the website, which lets you download scores that aren’t in the public domain and lets you upload as many scores as you want
@@ianbruns7103 did you use the default midi sounds? they sound better than my default sounds to my ears...
absolutely phenomenal arrangement! i always thought it would make a great dci ballad and it's awesome to see that someone actually did it. bravo!

I saw this arrangement on yt when it came out 2 years ago and loved it… imagine my surprise when I audition for scouts 22 and they announce we’re playing this song 😂

I honestly could see phantom or scv playing this as a warmup or something, it has to happen some day
I feel like this doesn't have as much emotion as this: ruclips.net/video/DiPHMEB9hlE/видео.html (this actually had me in tears), but it's still very good.
The first time I listened to Bloo 21, there was a section for about 2 seconds where I thought they were playing this. It wouldn't have made sense though.

is it me or does it feel like the battery writing doesn't sound that great with the brass other than that great work
Yeah, I’m a brass player so I’m not the best at writing battery😂
I would so there are moments of not the best writing but other than that it matches pretty well so.

Some highschool or college should make a show called "musical diamonds" and use this along with "I hear a symphony", "underground", "slow dancing in the dark", or any songs that really make you feel emotional and excited!
