I've driven many of the M39 series 5 ton trucks. I was an M60A3 gunner, and I loved being on a Tank! When I was getting within 6 months of getting stationed to Ft. Carson, Colorado, I was asked if I'd join up with the Transportation Co, due to a shortage of truck drivers. Everyone knew I was from northern Maine and raised on a farm, so my Platoon leader spoke for me. I loved driving those trucks! Reminded me of the farm. Those M39 trucks were mean and tough! That, plus those engines sounded great! That whistling turbo sound as you'd floor it and ran through the gears! Aww! That sweet sound!! A couple months down the road, my awesome M39 was traded in for the new M939. What a disappointment! AUTOMATIC transmission...ppthhh!! I'm a disabled veteran now, housebound disabled. It sucks!!! Life stricken to this VA hospital bed in my living room. You know, Maine and Alaska have a lot of similarities. If I could, I would have loved to visit your breathtaking state! God bless Kilcher family ❤
Sparrow will be a big help around your farm when she gets older. She always wants to be involved in everything that you’re doing. She’s already a big help around the house helping Eve with the cooking.
Eiven, you are such an amazing dad. You explain everything so intricately, to your kids. They will have so much education, on life skills, when they grow up. Your dad was, and still is, a great teacher!
I am really glad you guys are doing these videos, I really miss not being able to see you guys on TV anymore ! Thank You So Much and keep them coming !!
I love watching how you and Otto can fix about anything. Sparrow was so cute wanting to help and spend time with her dad, that is so great. Thank you for the video.
Hey Eivin , Otto and Kiddos 🌞. I love it when you and your Dad's minds get reeling ! Your little Sparrow is very interested , maybe she will observe and absorb enough to be a lady machanic🌝! Whoo Hoo Vroom🎉 JO JO IN VT 💞
Great to see y'all working together! Glad you got it fixed! Tools are something that are almost priceless. Yes they are expensive to buy, but once you have them the jobs you can tackle yourself are endless!
Nothing is better than a father and son working with each other. I just spent today working with my son on my pickup and it's a great way to spend time togather. Joel Reppe Clear Lake SD
Great to see you guys again Sparrow is a fantastic kid who seems to ask all the right questions and between you and Otto she’s going to be a real book of knowledge old and new 🏴👍🏻
Eivan,Sparrow and Otto great video. Glad you were able to get the dump truck up and running. Hope you will be able to get the additional on to the shop before winter. Enjoy your videos as always. David B.,Utah. 👍👍👍💖💖❤❤❤.
Dude awesome trucks. If you get one of those stuck, your stuck !! My dad had an old 6by6 army truck personnel hauler with a canopy. He backed it up a tree. Amazing trucks and the landscaping came out 👍
Good to see you guys start channel. Totally forgot about the tv show on discovery. Loved watching u guys fix and survive in the great state of Alaska!!!
Another thing I just thought of for that hard shifting transmission that has ⚙️ gear oil in that transmission unit some of that Lucas transmission sealers and conditioners and bearing wear protection agents.
Message me too, my guys need them on their ancient farmers a cool dudes, machinist, You are King tonight. TY for explaining in my head again. On b power hanging out with A1
I’m going to Immediately Stop using the Word, “MacGyver” and Start using the Word, “Kilcher”. You two (2) Never Cease to Amaze your Many Loyal Viewers. 👍🙏
You guys definitely do things “the kilcher way”….you find creative solutions for everything…and you have a tool or random object lying around for everything….guess it pays to collect and save a lot of things…is it because its hard to come by supplies where you are? …or are you guys just “collector” (didnt want to say hoarder…lol) You guys are the most resourceful peoole i think i ever seen in a long time. Cute how Sparrow likes to hang out with Dad and grandpa while they work.
Another awesome episode! Don't miss the manufacturing of the other show. This project, beginning to end, is much better than jumping around with dramatic music, then, COMMERCIAL! Anyway, that leaky air hose drove me nuts :) Thanks, guys, great episode!
Otto ran a machine shop for many years. Also ran freight with his boats. I (Eivin) have done many things from Fighting wild land fire to construction etc. I currently operate heavy equipment. RUclips is my side hustle.
16:45 I guess it doesn't matter if it's blocking part of one headlight - if you have to take it on East End Rd you can just do it during daylight hours.Don't forget your roller compactor. :) 21:30 "I fixed my truck"?

I recommend putting A heavy duty wench on the front and possibly the rear of that truck. Just in case you get stuck in the mud. You can wench yourself out by of those two wenches mounted onto that military work truck.
Eivin, would you please lower the volume on your intro music, it’s very loud and with hearing aids it sure cleans your ears out, lol. Otherwise we love your video including your dads
