My husband's cousin lives by him and said the show is real , but the other show The Alaskan bush show with all the kids was fake .
Not sure about that, the kids are missing teeth and have been homeless more often than not,

Some people think it’s easy to live in the wilderness when in all actuality one is working day and night in demanding circumstances. If you think about everything we do on a daily basis and than how would we do it in the wilderness it becomes mind blowing.

Homer is NOT the wilderness, it's on the road system, has ferry service, plenty of stores, boats, airplanes, parts stores
Right. The series documents the struggle or one family and sustain and balance the benefits of both civilization and wilderness in Alaska.
They are about 12 miles outside of Homer, and by Alaska standards they definitely don't live in Homer 😂

Every freaking tv serious is 95% lies. Lots of people know Otto doesn’t live in his homestead that the series talks about he lives in the city with all the amenities that the show likes to make you think he doesn’t have. It’s all a lie!
