I haven’t checked in with the channel for a while. I see you’re still putting out great reviews. That’s a gorgeous knife! I agree that the shield is great on the stag. And, the low profile of the second blade in the closed position so it doesn’t dig into your hand is a really nice attention to detail.
People way underestimate Japan - knives. Seki city makes fine product. Sheffield; USA made etc are all talked about ad nuseum; but Japanese knives really rock ~ especially kitchen knives . They are so light and they softer steel so much easier to sharpen them up to a proper edge. I like them sharp. Over the last 30 years all my heavy German - made knives have been replaced by Global and other Japanese manufacturers. Highly recommended !
That is a beauty! I remember when i got my first Moki in the mail. It was the midsized Kronos. I opened the package and marveled over the quality and finish. This was during winter and the knife was really cold. When i folded it for the first time it was really lazy, it hardly could pull in the blade into the folded position. I was chocked and very dissapointed! But later, when the knife was in room temperature, in moved flawless. It was not the lube that was cold, it was the tight fit and the mirrorfinish of the parts rubbing together. When cold the steel shrinks a tiny bit, enough to make the blade fold slowly like it is on hydraulics.
Good looking knife, I don't know if I'd spend that kind of money on it even if I had it. I've seen some really fantastic stuff over the years and some ultra pricey stuff that I'd never drop the coin on. Jack Wolf knives are the most desirable for the money, in my humble opinion. These are a couple of great examples of some people's grail knives, just not mine. Thanks, Paddy.
That knife is super gorgeous, it sounds fabulous. Quality. Class. Thank you to the owner for charging it with us. I get you, puts a smile on the face. The small popcorn yes makes it. I also like the top one more.
Can't argue with the detailed work and quality but I prefer knives that can be lost overboard without weeping over lost hundreds of pounds 😢 cheers Paddy
I love Japanese knives, and I have a few, but only one full custom. You are always going to be hit by the law of diminishing returns, but when you get to handle knives like these, you can see why they’re so expensive. Add to that, there is no people who give closer attention to detail than the Japanese!
Lovely knife. I don't think I dare ask for one of those for Chritmas. Pronounciation is easy....just break it down into syllables. Tak-esh-i Mat- sus-aki.
Stupendous, cutlery to perfection. It's just exhilarating to watch. Thanks so much for sharing that. 😊
All I can say is WOWZERS!!!! Masterpiece!
It is impossible to be made better.
It's perfection
My jaw hit the floor on this one! Absolutely gorgeous knife, buddy!
