I'd love to have a Ashley Harrison or Steven Cocker custom knife. I think they are very well worth it. I've just not been lucky or patient enough. As far as I can see British custom makers have a sound idea of what a fair price is.
When I think of the term "custom," I think of something that has no other in design or execution. An individual thing, a piece of art. I own no "custom" knives. I like what you're showing here. Thanks for sharing.
A wonderful collection of some of your favourite pocket knives and it was an entertaining collection "The budget is not just a collection of numbers, but an expression of value and aspirations".
Barlows used to be the most boring of knives, to me. Then you introduced me to the nice ones. Now, I can't get my mitts on enough of them, especially the UK makers. The filework is exquisite. Is it bad form to be caught drooling on the filework?
I’m going to watch this later today but I want to share a comment from a very knowledgeable member of the Knife Community Apostle P He said when you collect custom knives to speculate on the value going up you might as well take your money and light it on fire
Thanks for showing us your collection and making us aware of custom makers in the UK.
