Many times less light is more, especially if there is no other light around. This is because our eyes adapt to low light conditions, but our eyes are SLOW in doing so. Many times we break our low light sensitivity by blasting an area with unnecessary lumens.
I always wonder what people mean with EDC more as in for what activity. My true EDC that's always with me is my wallet, pen (with glass breaker tip), lighter and simple SAK in an organizer and a hanky in my pockets. On my keychain are a mini pry bar, key to the front door and a metal USB stick (aka flash drive) with medical info, copies of important documents, etc. I always wear a watch. Of course I often bring my phone also and usually some cheap reading glasses. The phone I usually carry in a fanny pack and that gives me some extra room for more 'EDC' like a (mini) multitool, little flashlight, loud whistle, spare lighter, tick remover, small magnifying glass, button compass, etc.
My minimum is a leather cash wallet with victorinox alox bantam and alox classic in my left front pocket, and in my right front pocket is a matching leather slip organizer with a bic mini and benchmade mini Osborne. I've also gone back to neck knife carrying an ESEE Candiru, which goes either inside or outside the shirt. If i'm doing anything more outside, i belt carry my Leatherman ARC and fixed blade like a benchmade anonimus or puuko.
That's a lot to carry. I have an EKA penknife in my wallet and a watch on my wrist. I rarely need the knife. When I'm in the woods I'll carry a multitool with folding shears to deal with brambles but that's about it.
I put together an edc pouch with the usual kit. It generally stays at home, I take just a folder in my pocket and a small SAK classic or fox vulpis on the keys. Thanks for the video Paddy.
Keys, wallet, phone, Leatherman multitool, mini flashlight, 2 knives, watch, and gun everywhere I go. Honestly carrying the gun out of necessity, too much drugs and crime in my area
I think about this a lot actually! My pants are always super heavy😂 I carry at least three knives plus wallet , phone, keys, pen/paper, + at least one sheathed item on my belt🤷 . I don’t carry a flashlight unless I’m going out in the dark.
Very good Stephen. I am just as you are, I feel naked without some EDC on my person. Knife/watch/wallet/flashlight/pliers/pen/SAK/notepad/lighter/blistex-chapstick/couple cough drops_mints. I find that I do not need my edc until I stop carrying it. Then when I reach into an empty pocket I feel foolish. What good has an empty pocket ever done for anyone?🇨🇦
These days it’s almost crazy how much I pack around. Keys, wallet, phone, lighter, smokes, watch, charger, pocket knife, fair size side or flipper knife, belt, spare change. Sometimes a small light. Dog treats, and sometimes a coffee. Lol I EDC without even trying
Good thing you have a device to stop the bleeding after pricking your finger. I have everyday carry as well not nearly what you have on the table. Mine is a large folder and a small one along with a MiniBuck tool, Bic lighter, a space pen and a couple of multitools on my keys along with my Streamlight Macrostream. My wallet is nothing special.

EDC is for people who got a job in office but wanted a job on the tools. EDC is absolutely superlative in 99.9% of its carrier.
