I did a brief search. There's nothing particularly special in about bone from India. There's a traditional handicraft industry that makes fine art from bone.

nice knife , I got me the farm and field version which I must say is top shelf all the way , when I went to purchase another one in "rotten banana" tools for gents have stopped shipping pocket knives to the UK , as of last week , am well disappointed , only plus is might save a bit of cash , love the green hue to the bone , latters tatters , p
