I really like the dynamic of both of you guys together,
I'm glad tesla is getting competition now. 88k msrp is insane for how little it has to offer.
The price is fueled by hype not by what it has to offer
What competition? The other legacy and start up car companies can't even ramp up production to produce a meaningful amount of vehicles, not to mention they're all battery supply constrained and will be for years. Also the MSRP is not as bad as you think, considering the battery itself is probably $30K of that amount.
@@jkim356 smaller automakers like rivian definitley are having problems, but I'm seeing a lot of EV's here on the east coast made by big manufacturers. I'm optimistic they'll catch up and drive the price down. For 88k I'd rather have a brand new custom m3.
@@theepictallguy what you see is not necessarily what it is, try ordering a Mach e, Ioniq 5, etc and you will quickly find there is almost no inventory and dealer markups are in the 5-10k range. Even more so for EQS and higher end make/models.
From a macro point of view, there’s going to be huge supply constraints for the whole EV industry and those who haven’t secured supply by now, will struggle and won’t be able to produce cars in the next few years.
I would rather buy a model X or any cheaper 3/Y than an M3, but to each their own.
Most of teslas competition costs more and offers less what are you on about 🤣
There is *something* when both of you are in the video. Love this format!
Blonde or brunette girls
Oooh looks like you don't know about the light show haha. I think all Teslas have it at this point but the Model X does it best with the doors. Very fun little bonus.
I just want to know who's idea was to place the cup holder in the arm rest area. Super inconvenient!
really dumb design, they do also have adjustable cupholder in the front tray under the screen (those C clamps @1:11) but im really glad they redesigned the whole console in the refresh x
I am keeping my low-tech 2017 Camry LE. It is serving me well on my runs to Target and Aldi's! (About the doors on this Tesla, shades of John DeLorean.)
It'll last you a lot longer too!
wait no backseat middle armrest??? in a 100K car???????????
That car (2019 one) is actually 20k+ rn (used)..
They definitely needed to update that interior and they've done so pretty nicely. I don't know. Seems expensive but maybe the tech makes it worth it.
This is a 2019 model.
@@lastmst2738 I know. That's why I said the interior needed to be updated and it was. It's a used model.
@@benjaminsmith2287 They have updated it...
@@nikolajhstvilhelmsen6182 I said so in my first sentence. "they've done so pretty nicely."
@@nikolajhstvilhelmsen6182 @lastmst can you guys even read correctly?? He said they have updated it...
Drove one a few years back. The best part was the infinity windshield, felt like the future. The doors need to go away and fitment needs a lot of work. They really need to make a more “normal” suv to really move the needle in the space. Good first effort though.
Have you never seen a model y?
Yup model y is just that
@@NoName-me7kr The man just said he wants the infinity windshield.. which the Model Y doesn't have. Also, there are the dedicated buttons, air suspension, an instrument binnacle, aluminum construction, and a usable 3rd row available.
@@EUC-lid For those reasons yeah you're right. The model y is in the cuv field.
@@EUC-lid exactly, the model Y was named appropriately.
5:38. If you REALLY want to see a lot of stuff that could break, just open up the hood of any ICE car😂😂😂
you have to drive model 3 performance 2024 in track mode on, it's really something
This car is my personal favorite
This is actually my first ever dream car, untill i left for the mk5 and also changed again XD
I still can’t justify calling these luxury vehicles…it’s an egg on wheels with a bland interior
The wheels on this trim are bland too
have you seen the new refresh versions? the model x plaid is a luxury vehicle. unless you work for aston martin trying to market the 707
@@noway6238 it’s not a luxury vehicle.
@@JDMSwervo2001 mm so automatic doors are not luxury huh... guess autopilot/fsd is worse than anything rolls royce or bentley put out. ps5 level gpu in your infotainment with a full array of entertainment options lol nah not luxury it needs carplay. You need push button start for luxury not no carkeys. Turning on climate via double tapping the back of my iphone? Nah, not luxury.
@@noway6238 i mean interior quality, quality leather seats and no cheap plastics. The inside of a tesla is so bland and boring. The interior is supposed to be welcoming
if its standard range, battery is 75kwh not 100kwh, its just a 75D with Raven upgrade
the Fake wood trim makes the car feel tacky and cheap
Build quality of a 2010 Kia
Still waiting on your Brz setup and build.
So many gimmicks on a single vehicle... I couldn't imagine paying nearly 100k for this.
insanely quick family suv that has crazy tech. tesla is far ahead of the game
You gotta drive the Tesla Model S Plaid
all you need to know about this tesla is that somebody traded it in for a ford.
ruclips.net/video/NDTU0Q_07Pk/видео.html
@@TheTopher thats not necessarily true, lots of these dealers all over tend to buy 1 tesla from auction and keep on hand at a ridiculously overpriced cost to have as a "demo" which is the case here. No one is a buying a standard range model x for $100k but this allows it to be in their inventory and under their insurance
This is the worst EV on sale imo, but thanks as always Topher
I can feel the tesla fans are getting really heated, but i agree
@@petterwsp7386 as a tesla fan, I am heated
It gets a credit for being larger than the competition, but after taking a few day trips in both the late 2010s and new 2022 Model X, I'm not impressed with much else. Suspension isn't great, seating is meh, interior is meh. Audio in the 2022 is relatively good though.
what would be better than a model x plaid? obviously price being no object
@@noway6238 model X 2020 and X plaid is completely different cars
model y is better by a long shot
Not in terms of ride comfort. The X/S class of cars ride much better especially than the Y. The 3 rides decent but is harsh at times.
i agree the Y is better than an old model x standard range. id take a refresh x long range over a y though any day
you have clearly never driven an x
I am going to 'assume' most of the negative comments are from those that have never test driven a tesla or any electric vehicle.
I wouldn't assume that. Not everyone that has driven a Tesla falls in love with it. Some do, some don't. I rented a 3. Didn't fall in love with it. Teslas aren't for me. However I did drive a Polestar 2 and liked it but think one that's on a proper skateboard will be better. Will rent a Hyundai Ioniq 5 or Kia EV6 when they come available. EVs are overall better than ICE IMO. But I don't dislike ICE like a lot of EV fanatics do.
@@benjaminsmith2287 I just know allot of people that have pretty strong opinions against EV's in general and have never driven one is all. I like EV and ICE vehicles and I happen to own both. An EV was never on my radar to be honest until I happened to test drive one and eventually decided I wanted to test the waters so to speak.
"Driving every Tik Tokers dream car" LOL
Not actually, i hate Tik Tok and Teslas are my favourite cars.
Oh man, I can already see the Tesla fanboys crying about this
personally I don't like the design of teslas anymore. the model S looks pretty sleek but the 3, X, and Y are just too round and bulbus-y for my taste.
Those Falcon doors will never not be ridiculous. The new yoke on this model adds yet another ridiculous aspect to this vehicle.
$80k..no thanks I would go for Highlander instead
Why the door hit you in the camera that is painful
I love the exterior look of this...but to be honest, the interior looks some shit Ford would put out.
Now...that's not to say Ford products aren't good (many of the models are), but what I'm saying is.....this ain't no $100k interior.
That being said...do more father/son vids like this - that's pretty cool 😎
I mean...Ford's kinda been copying the Tesla infotainment/interior look as far as I could see. Pretty sure Tesla did interiors like this first. 😅
@@bldude2 this is true. I am starting to feel like we need an influx of new auto manufacturers in the U.S.
I’m talking completely new companies…not subsidiaries - and they DON’T have to all be pushing EVs.
Getting pretty bored with the current offerings here - Even the new models. All this shit is the same. Boring.
It is a 3 row
What’s the range on the Standard Range?
I still find the I-Pace a more enticing deal, even though its nearly 3 years older than the Model X. Nevermind the more typical design, the interior for it just feels like a luxury _car,_ not some dumb dick-swinging concept piece. Part of the reason why I love the Bolt and Leaf so much, there's no overdoing on tech and faux-futurism, its simply a good well put together car that runs on batteries rather than a noisy engine. Dials, knobs, they're futuristic too, people. And will actually live on to the future more effectively than going through several screens and unintuitive feedback just to turn your buttheater on.
I love you no Homo
🤨
Love you too, no homo though
Hey how are you?
Cyber truck soon? 👀
Those “funky” doors are the reason why this tesla is still relevant
Seems like you never experienced a Tesla before lmaoo
Ride solo only pls
You mean “Dual Motor” I don’t think a “standard range” model x exist.
SR MX does exist. Old 75D cars after the Raven update were badged as Standard Range. They were canned after a few months.
$100,000 in 2019 got you a wood trim interior and doors that almost hit you.
Its mostly just a "status" symbol for people with more money than brains.
@@SerPurple51 now that I can get with. 😭
It's ~$100,000 used in today's market. It was $84,998 in 2019.
Wood trim looks classy.
An egg inspired design, a creaky interior with bits from an old Mercedes, and embarrassing quality can be yours for just 100k!!
i found it for 15k used...
Not very luxurious for 88k.
Paying 100,000 for tesla is just a rip off
Idk 3 or 4th pin me cuz yes.
Edit: Nissan r34 skyline next pls
oh hell naw
I’m never buying a Tesla
Generally a fan but ~dislike~, please focus on currently available evs and hybrids, you can’t even buy this model anymore
This one is literally for sale. To buy. Currently.
You can buy it and others like it on the Used market.
