Alito not only showed disrespect for the country, but disrespect for the rule of law and everyone in our country. He was disrespectful to the very job that he holds.

There are 4 "justices" that need to be removed, and NOW. Uncle Thomas & Alito for their criminal and unethical antics, and Kavanaugh and Barrett because they lied in their confirmation hearting. They knew they lied. We knew they lied. But I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations on Lying to Congress still applies, so they should be removed on literal criminal referral.

Term Limits NOW on Supreme Court Judges.
The selection of Supreme Court justices should be put to a vote by the people. We should also advocate for laws that would allow the people to elect justices, not Congress. How can justices be nonpartisan if Congress is the body responsible for their selection? The selection process should be conducted by a separate committee. I do not think we should have political parties like most of our Founders, they are one of the causes of corruption since they seem to cater to the Wealthy and not all Americans.

Is it weakness, or calculated choices to steer things, whatever the cost. I mean, these Justices live isolated lives, and are pretty much above the law. So, it’s not going to cost much. And as long as there are ultra conservatives out there, he will be happy enough with the legacy that they’ll laud.

They should both be indicted by a grand jury for violating 28.455. There is no penalty for violating the statute, but Article 3 of the Constitution says that judge's life time appointment is subject to their good behavior. Failure to follow 28.455 is clearly not good behavior. They have disqualified themselves.

He needs to be removed from the court. If there is not a mechanism then one needs to be established. Life time appointments need to be abolished and there needs to be a proper ethics process put in place and used to evaluate performance. This is serious. This court is seriously compromised.

Might I also suggest that judges should be appointed by a judicial committee, and not by partisan politicians? Vet them through the same process, but the committee would review the qualifications of each appointee and put forward names of only those who meet standards. Just my 2 cents

Maybe a pool of justices from which 9 would be randomly chosen to hear a case. That would curtail cases being brought only when they thought they had a sympathetic court. If you didn’t know who would hear the case, you would need a much better argument to start with.

It's infuriating that the Democratic Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dick Durbin has said he won't investigate Justice Alito. A republican in his position wouldn't hesitate to use that power.
