I was privileged to be at this game. Ferocious stuff as Scotland had been given no chance by anyone, including Scottish press. Very hard by both sides. Both Skinner and Calder battered away at each other…….fair and square. Superb Guscott try, playing like the British Lion he was. Carling’s only fault (he played well)was letting his senior players overrule him on penalty decisions. A very very thrilling game. Very misleading video title.

Rory Underwood was absolutely lethal in this tournament, he had scored multiple tries against every other team. Quite the achievement to keep him completely quiet in the final game.

Great game - I remember it well. Carling and Guscott such a great centre partnership, but the Scots won - big surprise as it was a good English side. Gavin Hastings I loved watching too - always made something happen.
