This is huge! Thx 4 this! It hasn't happened to me yet but you have put my mind at easy in this video as it IS something I've worried ab abit. Love ur attitude and outlook ab it as well!
I was joking around with you earlier. But imagine if every producer got together and teamed up. Maybe form a producers Union or something. We could set a minimum price for tracks depending on how the track is used. You might think this is crazy, but we could also get things like insurance in case of lawsuits etc. That's great that you are able to buy a house from your music, but you must realize that your $20.00 a beat formula will not work for everyone. I currently create content for TV here in Toronto. I have also created music for Raptors television so I know what I'm talking about. Anyway man not trying to start an argument, keep up the good work and I'll keep tuned into your content!! Peace
That's literally exactly what a producer does. If you do your business properly by documenting ownership of your beats and have contracts dictating what an artist can do depending on what type of contract they pay for they have zero legal grounds for a lawsuit. And as your own private company you can set your prices however you want.
The problem with registering with content id is most of our beats violates the terms of content id because we use sound kits distrokid doesnt even support electronic music hip hop, edm, dubstep etc because of this issue audiam is the only content id system i know that actually enforces this so even though the others dont your violating youtubes content id rules if you register your beats unless you play every single instrument and sound in your beat yourself
Yes, I came across this problem several times, but each time I successfully challenged the complaint. Not a very pleasant situation, but RUclips is quickly solving this problem. Thank you for the video! 🙏
@djpain1 I appreciate that you take the time to educate folks. I still have my reservations with beatstars. But it's a good option. You just added more concerns about uploading to RUclips. I've engineered sessions with artists taking tracks from RUclips and never contacting the producers. But it's a great way to promote your product and brand.
I use the Shazam app with all my beats and somebody stole one of my beats and put it on Spotify and other streaming services. I'm going to make a video on it soon.
Thanks Pain, definitely a problem. Smart method to hunt down artists who use your songs without a license. For those who wanna try another method is to sign to identifyy.com (by HAAWK Copyright management). It’s free and they do all the work to put your songs into the contend id system... I tried it by myself, but RUclips never responded to me signing up to do it myself 😒 Well, it’s not really free, cause they take 30% of your earnings, but hey... they do all the work. When your tracks are in the system, your own RUclips uploads will be claimed too, but you are the one who will get the money (they even give you 100% for your own channel). My solution: signed up to airbit used the content ID now all my beats are claimed by myself also I’m claiming all other videos people have uploaded with my beats and kits etc. No I’m earning money from uploads instead of loosing money

Someone knock some sense in me .....................................i feel like this pushes the vocalist to learn to produce there own beat to avoid conflict. i am new to making music so im open to listening to opinions .
In what way are you "tied from releasing it to the plarforms?" Furthermore, your RUclips channel isn't currently monetized, so how much of a problem is that for you?
So from here knowing the new song name we would register it with pro so we can properly collect royalties on song? Or does this claim reach out to tune core and they adjust as necessary?
Peace...what about using samples from splice, loopcloud, etc in your tracks and uploading to RUclips and you (producer) have a content id tied to the track containing samples from a splice, loopcloud, looperman, etc. Will that get flagged...even if it's heavily manipulated? With the possibility of other people using the same sample and claiming ownership. Long question...probably for a short answer.
Ps. Got my first one today. The cat and I played the same samples off the fingerprint vst the same way. It is uncanny. They are different but similar. Go figure. It is my sixth beat tape and I have never came across this. 👍👎✊✌
I’ve actually saw another video on RUclips in regards to identify and it is a good content I’d for RUclips I think it’s free as well they take a small percentage but u get your content I’d . The only problem I’ve learned from that video was that let’s say for example u made a excsluove beat sale today , in order for the artist with the exclusive rights to content I’d his music on RUclips they wouldn’t have to wait 2 years so it can be released from the producers RUclips account . 😬
Now RUclips says they don’t deal with Content ID claims, they just send the dispute to the person that stole your beat and let them decide what to do. 🥲
Do you see a solution in sight for Content ID issues for instrumentals using purchased non-exclusive samples? Are there any workarounds to this issue? I have decent tracks without samples, but I also have some good ones that use them. It's a pain since most Hollywood post-production studios use non-exclusive FX libraries.
Can someone help me understand this. So when I make a beat with a sample that is royalty free but then someone gets a placement with it. Is it disputed-able?
Would this also work if you use splice and you have samples that are 100% royalty free implemented in the beat ? I usually change the pitch of the loop or chop it up and add effects to it , i think there shouldn’t be a problem with it right ? Because it’s royalty free but if someone were to copyright it and I get a copyrighted, should I be in the Clear ?
@djpain1 I'm educated on most of this & recently I made a song to one of your beats for the collab for the crown contest I know Im allowed 1music video & I might need to have a convo with you my RUclips is not monetized so I figured it should not be a issue I did not register with my PRO yet tho.
Every time I get a copyright claim it’s from Tunecore only But Producing needs to go back to the basics for real this is why I fully structure of my beats 123 Beat don’t cut you not going to generate income
What if I cut my own beats from a phone app. Then get the Copyright Claim but do I get sued? I don't care about getting monetized. I just wanna entertain
just because you dont ear the beatstars tag it doesn't mean they have bought a license from you. They could've bought it from someone who bought it from you. Or they got the beat for free from someone who bought it

@@PDigitalTv hey I'd appreciate if you could keep me updated on how that's going! IG @smokescreen_inc
@@PDigitalTv yeah me too @xarbeats
I’ve actually saw another video on RUclips in regards to identify and it is a good content I’d for RUclips I think it’s free as well they take a small percentage but u get your content I’d . The only problem I’ve learned from that video was that let’s say for example u made a excsluove beat sale today , in order for the artist with the exclusive rights to content I’d his music on RUclips they wouldn’t have to wait 2 years so it can be released from the producers RUclips account . 😬
thanks for that video!
Got you with the support!
Appreciate the advice

how do i allow an artist to use my beat and upload to streaming services ? do i need an official license agreement or a distributor or both ?
Now RUclips says they don’t deal with Content ID claims, they just send the dispute to the person that stole your beat and let them decide what to do. 🥲
Yeah fuck youtube for that
Great Video 👍🏾 Bro,
Do you see a solution in sight for Content ID issues for instrumentals using purchased non-exclusive samples? Are there any workarounds to this issue? I have decent tracks without samples, but I also have some good ones that use them. It's a pain since most Hollywood post-production studios use non-exclusive FX libraries.
Can someone help me understand this. So when I make a beat with a sample that is royalty free but then someone gets a placement with it. Is it disputed-able?
Do you have recommendations for a service to track this outside of RUclips ??
Great info 🔥🙏🙏
Would this also work if you use splice and you have samples that are 100% royalty free implemented in the beat ? I usually change the pitch of the loop or chop it up and add effects to it , i think there shouldn’t be a problem with it right ? Because it’s royalty free but if someone were to copyright it and I get a copyrighted, should I be in the Clear ?
Sooooo I have not had this happen yet but my question is should I copyright all my beats before putting them on youtube SoundCloud etc?
How can I upload a track by tunecore if the best is leasing??
is it worth to do air bit on beat collabs or loops used?
your past 100k yet !?!? lol nah seriously though, congrats OG
just because you dont ear the beatstars tag it doesn't mean they have bought a license from you. They could've bought it from someone who bought it from you. Or they got the beat for free from someone who bought it
So if a artist purchases a YT beat should we purchase unlimited plays?
Great info for producers
Thanks bro 🙏🏾🙏🏾
