Last thing I need is another monitor but I ended up watching your whole 15 minute review Mr Zorz Guy. I feel like I learned something useful and I was entertained by the humor of the Zorz guy at the same time. He’s really funny. I’ve actually met him, can even say I know him, and he is as cool and as funny and as kind in the outside world as he is on the screen. He’s good. I wonder why he doesn’t have more followers. Someone should start some kind of a fan club, or fan page. Do they still have those?
My problem wasn’t the brightness, it was the absolutely terrible matte finish. Coming from a LG OLED C2 that has a nice glossy finish, this looks greasy or smeared. I’m just not sure I can get past that. LG could easily fix this by discontinuing their current build and simply correcting it. 💯
I have an Alienware sitting here ready to be opened to compare the finishes cause like I said I haven't seen or played on a glossy one yet... More to come!

I checked the status for delivery, and at 3 pm they said "no signature provided - shipping delayed till tomorrow." I was SO pissed. I'm surprised you are not seeing closer to MBR with the OLED screen. I also come from CRT era of playing Quake 2, 3 Arena and Half-Life DM. I get my LG 27" OLED today and will verify too. I'm coming from Neo G8 240Hz 4K (with MBR) along with Zowie XL2566K. I've been a huge fan of blurbusters and their suggestions and tools to chasing the CRT dream.
Please reply to this message with your findings compared to the xl2566K! I have that monitor too but i am afraid this monitor is to dim in hdr even in windows 11.
Blurbusters is the most elite source ever. I need Chief on the channel! I can tell you right now the xl2746s I have blows this oled out of the water with MBR. I desperately want a XL2566k but haven't pulled the trigger cause I also do have to pay the damn rent! The 4k Neo G8 is also on my list. How is that thing? Looks Zorz! CRT Krew 4 Life!
@@ZorzGaming I love my Neo G8. I'm not seeing the scanline issue that a lot of people mention when at 240Hz. I'm really impressed with the VA input response, colors and MBR setting. The end game for me is a good panel at 32" 4K 240FPS+ and this about checks all them boxes. This LG OLED may be unnecessary but I'm curious if it's any better. I have an LG C1 I use for Xbox Series X and really impressed with that. I just hate how we've come to accept the image quality of these panels coming from CRT 20+ years ago. Part of me is in denial because of age so I need better hardware to compensate ;)
@@siliconcpu7569 Its not better. Its just prettier. The true end game would be 32 inch 4k 360hz with DYAC ++ OLED. Maybe its also got an AI inside of it that gives out positive affirmations too every few hours :).
@@siliconcpu7569 I had a Neo G8 and it was beautiful although it wasn't for me so I returned it. I saw some scanlines in my monitor but it wasn't noticable when I play games unless I look up close. I don't mind the matte finish but for some reason it looks my screen was poured with vegtables oil on top of it which looks weird, maybe it's the VA Panel but I'm not sure. 4k clarity was cool but it was too big for me to play competitive sadly.
I had Iffy first impressions on this monitor as well. However after using it for a few days and finding the right setting I am in love with this monitor. This is the setting I settled with: Gamer 2, brightness 60 (you can adjust to your liking), contrast 70, sharpness 50, Gamma mode 2, custom rgb 50,50,44, and black stabilizer 50. Give this a shot if you’d like and let me know how it is. Also there’s a bug with the monitor where it locks you at 4k 120hz. It’s a quick fix that requires CRU. Unfortunately I cannot post the link as this comment will be automatically deleted. You should be able to find the solution on Reddit pretty easily.

When I seen the $1000 price tag I was like nawww can't be worth. Glad your initial Impression leans that way. OLED is nice but I'd rather wait for it to drop in price. You can get nicely color accurate 1440p 240hz monitors in the $500-700 range.

Sup, Zorz. Yea these shipping companies are something else. Had the same issue once before with ups as well. They said they tried to drop off, had to have signature, and you know I'm sitting around watching my tracking and listening for the door bell. They come, don't ring door bell, don't knock, and don't call. They them left with my monitor. Went to check tracking to see where it was, it was supposed to be dropped at a ups location and it wasn't. The monitor was headed back to it's origin. And guess what, Amazon wouldn't send out another monitor till that one got back. Now we give these delivery companies out phone numbers to contact us if someone doesn't come to the door. So yeaaaa they suck. Took me a whole extra week to get my monitor. Something tells me before I even get an OLED I'm not going to be impressed enough to get one over a good IPS monitor. And LG is really shady to say tha least. I've heard horror stories with Customer Service. And yes, I just got the LG32GP850 just 3 days ago. Damn beautiful 1440p monitor. But there CS still scares the shit out me if I have to wait past the 30 days with Amazon. Now I gotta go open my box again and see if I have a remote. 😂 Oh, and another thing about the packaging of LG. The way they put the stand in tha box, no support what so ever. Basically pull up the styrofoam and all the parts are sitting in the bottom of tha box. Like wtf LG. Yea also, I've heard how shipping companies are in the inside. The shipping world is a mf and depending on how tired or over worked a worker is, dictates if they get pissed and throw your merchandise around on purpose. This was a great first review. I love my motion blur obsession as well. Oled is the real deal after swearing nothin would beat my 2646k with Benq’s dyac+ . Once Benq drops a 1440 360hz with dyac+ that may be the one tho

Now I'm damn curious as to how much of a difference I'd see. According to you, it might be an epic improvement... hmmmmm, dilemmas dilemmas dilemmas... but after seeing the OLED side by side in your studio vs the Samsung monitor... that OLED sure be pretty...
Nope not a game changer. Its an appearance changer though :). Looks damn good! Clarity is unreal, Response time is next level but Input lag and motion blur.... Cant have everything! Review coming soon will give full opinion!

Its bad.... i have ips lg uktra gear two of em and the txt and whites especially like window settings boxes looked like shit on this oled and moved it to my ips 144hz 1440p lg monitors back and forth and the oled looks soo washed out and oily and blurier vs the matt finsih on my ips
I do see the two years part... They seem to have updated that. I don't see Normal Usage burn in though. This is big news. I can contact them for details or maybe you have the link showing the burn in part?
protip if you have an lg magic remote you can use it to control this so that way you won't have to worry about getting a battery for that small remote it comes with you can disable the beep noise in the menu as well

I don't play for millions of dollars or even for $5, I am still considering getting the XL2566K. (360hz DyAc) I also just spend a grand on the ASUS 1440p IPS 360hz and I feel like I lost something when it came to moving figures, and even clarity when moving around corners and stuff. It does look great, especially in a game like Borderlands 2, I'm just so used to DyAc on the XL2546 I have though. I'm kinda sad to see your be less than impressed with this OLED display, but also I probably was never gonna get one anyways xd.
Yup. Dyac is like crack. CRT Krew 4 Life. I want the xl2566k so bad I can taste it. I just wish it was a 27 inch even with the loss of ppi. Also its 700 bucks!!! But yah once you go Dyac you cant go Byack.
I think there a lots of negatives on this monitor. I tried to play OLED laptops with (Asus Vivobook Pro OLED to be specific) Glossy screen and 120hz at 2.8k resolution and I was like "Holy shit its so damn good"! But then when I tried to used the the ROG 42" OLED I was like "uhmm is this $2200 OLED? (In our regional price)". So I suspect that I will get same impression if ever I get that monitor.
These two concerns are holding me back from purchasing an oled monitor. I have an oled tv which I use to watch movies, other than that, I use my IPS monitor.

Response time is not input lag time. The response time is amazing. The input lag is hard to measure without expensive machines but its not 1ms - That I can feel!
I just cancelled my pre-order after seeing your review, in my opion 240hz oled is unbeatable in moton clarity and input lag, looks like it is not. Maybe PG27AQN is better, idk...
I didn't do a full review yet - thats coming soon! The clarity is incredible but there is motion blur worse than a dyac zowie. For 1000 dollars its a real tossup.
I have one and love it but if I want 4k I just use my C9 oled and I don't plan on moving from the 27'' 1440p 240hz oled until we get 4k @ 32'' 240hz or higher on a oled 16:9
@@Jakob3xD yes you can depending on what games you play and I play alot of old games still like ut2004 quake etc CS:GO max payne 3 shadow of mordor but you will still benefit from the higher refresh rate I mean just think back in 2014 was when I first had 4k and it was at 60hz I have gamed on native 8k @ 60hz and 4k @ 200 + fps but I think the next leap they should go for is 5k @ high refresh rates because some games can run that now and if they bring sli back on the next generation of nvidia cards 8k @ 60 can be a thing nvidia will be releasing blackwell gpu arch in 2024/2025 they are touting it being the biggest jump in nvidia history so we know that means it will have pci ex 5.0 and displayport 2.1 and possible the return of sli
I would say this is a safe move. If motion blur and input lag are your priority... The image is so fucking clear and beautiful though. Pros and Cons...

You call LG and tell them to enable it on their servers. Then they will fax you documents to fill out... Kidding. Its in display settings of windows. :)

If you are gaming, I would avoid using Vivid mode if you play games. Vivid mode turns off LG DAS feature, which will introduce input lag.

I tried to play OLED laptops with (Asus Vivobook Pro OLED to be specific) Glossy screen and 120hz at 2.8k resolution and I was like "Holy shit its so damn good"! But then when I tried to used the the ROG 42" OLED I was like "uhmm is this $2200 OLED? (In our regional price)". So I suspect that I will get same impression if ever I get that monitor.

Not seeing texts issues but fear of burn in is definitely real. Not saying it will happen - but the FEAR is real.
These two concerns are holding me back from purchasing an oled monitor. I have an oled tv which I use to watch movies, other than that, I use my IPS monitor.

Response time is not input lag time. The response time is amazing. The input lag is hard to measure without expensive machines but its not 1ms - That I can feel!

I just cancelled my pre-order after seeing your review, in my opion 240hz oled is unbeatable in moton clarity and input lag, looks like it is not. Maybe PG27AQN is better, idk...
I didn't do a full review yet - thats coming soon! The clarity is incredible but there is motion blur worse than a dyac zowie. For 1000 dollars its a real tossup.

I have one and love it but if I want 4k I just use my C9 oled and I don't plan on moving from the 27'' 1440p 240hz oled until we get 4k @ 32'' 240hz or higher on a oled 16:9
Even with a 4090 you won't be able to run AAA FPS titles with 240hz on 4k..... But I guess 5000 will be out by then anyway

@@Jakob3xD yes you can depending on what games you play and I play alot of old games still like ut2004 quake etc CS:GO max payne 3 shadow of mordor but you will still benefit from the higher refresh rate I mean just think back in 2014 was when I first had 4k and it was at 60hz I have gamed on native 8k @ 60hz and 4k @ 200 + fps but I think the next leap they should go for is 5k @ high refresh rates because some games can run that now and if they bring sli back on the next generation of nvidia cards 8k @ 60 can be a thing nvidia will be releasing blackwell gpu arch in 2024/2025 they are touting it being the biggest jump in nvidia history so we know that means it will have pci ex 5.0 and displayport 2.1 and possible the return of sli

I would say this is a safe move. If motion blur and input lag are your priority... The image is so fucking clear and beautiful though. Pros and Cons...
