Stereo FM Radio Broadcast ~ Unknown ~ R2R ~ Teac 4070G (1970's)
Transfer:
Pioneer R2R ~ Audigy 4 Pro @ 24/44 (done back in 2010)
Preparation:
Audacity (clean up a few flat spots and dropouts) ~ AudioGate (16-44) ~
Audacity (patched missing segments as noted from shn 11860 source) ~ CD Wav ~ Flac (Level 8) ~ Stamp ID3 tag editor
This one is from the Record Plant in Sausalito, California (across the bay from San Francisco).
For this live radio show Richard Green replaced Vassar Clemens and joins with the new boy, Jerry Garcia on the banjo.
Tom Donahue, the father of FM radio is the DJ and engineer for this broadcast.
The lineage prior to my tape copy is unknown.
The quality is very good, with a slight hiss noticeable in the quietest sections.
My tape did not have the opening portion and included a cut in "Lonesome L.A. Cowboy".
Patches were inserted using the SHn 11860 source to complete the show .
* "'till the end of the world" has a squiggly spot in it
there is a slight speed difference between the tape and the SHN 11860 patch source.
Someone with a better ear than mine can figure out which pitch is correct and tweak as needed.
Hope this makes some people smile.

Thanks Elaine!!!
Happy Sunday everyone ❤
The banjo Jerry is playing is on display at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame Museum, Owensboro, KY right now! Courtesy of the Kesey family. 🎉
TY Beautiful🎇🎇🐻🐻🚌🚌❤❤
I’m smiling to the music, thanks to you Elaine🌹
I saw Peter and David Nelson last month at the Bluegrass Museum In Owensboro. It was the opening of a 2 year exhibit to Jerry. 3 days of music was incredible.
WOW!!!!!!!
You lucky dog you!
A two year exhibition dedicated to Garcia?!?!?!!!!?
That's so brilliant & appropriate. The man is in the pantheon of brilliant, groundbreaking pickers / guitarists who created his own personalized method of playing.
His vocal stylings, when singing Hunter's genius lyrics was a match made in heaven. The particular covers that Jerry chose to play suited his spirit perfectly. Even in the mid eighties when his health was progressively getting worse, he still sang with all the soul he could muster. He bared his soul, his true spirit to us. The man was so funny
So intelligent. So humble & non judgemental. As rare a talent as it gets. A Jimi Hendrix..A Clarence White. A Lowell George, James Burton, etc.
AND HE DID IT BECAUSE HE LOVED US & LOVED HAVING SOME GOOD CLEAN FUN, Hahaahaaaha.🎉😂😂❤❤
Thank you so very nuch for sharing this😎👍🎵
Thanks Elaine for delivering the EXTRA special goods today !

Morning, Marc...Happy Sunday!🎵🎶🪕🎻☮️🌞
Wild Horses is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, musically and lyrically. The OAITW version is so delicate and touching, with Jerry's "we'll ride them someday" background vocal at the end, that it always makes me choke 0up 😢
Moved to tears through beauty; that's the power of music 🎶 ❤
Thanks and happy Sunday Elaine! 😊😊😊
Always rips me up in a good way.❤
So cool to hear the sounds of such influential times. Kahn and Jerry jamming! Great choice Elaine!

Pure Gospel 🕊. 🔥 Thank you Elaine. I needed a reminder of how good this is.❤ The harmonies are copasetic.

So very grateful Elaine.
I've always been particularly fond of all Old & In the Way.
"Thank You" doesn't quite suffice for this share.
Beautiful recording.

No Vassar Clements? This is STILL gonna be good. Thanks for posting, and sharing. Great sound quality!
I saw Vassar leading his band in 95 I think in Boulder, CO
He shredded.❤
The new boy on the banjo is good.
