steveo says he doesn't know what his purpose is, but seriously seeing him pull himself out of addiction is one of the most inspiring things, ever.
The crazy thing is, he's way, way beyond addiction, now. He's entering role model territory. Who ever would have guessed that he'd be anywhere near that conversation? What he's chosen to do with his life, and the people that love him, it's nothing short of remarkable.
It gives a lot of hope.
He's honestly such a dope and sweet man, I'm sure all of us are thankful he's doing well and thriving!
I used to laugh at his stunts as a child. Now as an adult. his will to overcome drugs and alcohol helped me overcome my struggles with depression. he is absolutely a role model I agree and i also agree that you would never have seen this coming in the 2000's @@DemonCipher13
@@DemonCipher13 If you're an addict, you're likely never beyond addiction. But the scale? The scope? You can control that.
Last Meal is steadily following the trajectory of Hot Ones with these awesome guests. Can't wait for the show to blow up one day
I want a Sean Evans Last Meal episode now
@@shaneboone6868And a Josh on Hot Ones
Sean evans last meals we need it now Josh
I agree... Sean and Josh should do a mash up and appear as guests on each other's shows. It would be very interesting to see.
Also some good questions, although not on Seans level as of yet
"We only have one instinct, which is to survive. But we only have one guarantee! Which is we won't survive!"
Like, damn dude. Steve-O is a real one.
Poetic for real
its about the survival of the soul i think...that to me is what this life is all about.
From the bottom of my heart, I'm glad that Steve-O is still here with us. What an absolute legend.
He's been very lucky
@@snoox27especially with that dried rocket fuel on the carpet
I love the guests who don’t just say “yes” that they’re happy. Babish and Steve-o had the most real answers and it’s nice to see people be honest
ITS CRAZY YALL SUPPORT THIS LAME ASS DUDE. HE HAD A WHOLE BABY GETTING MOLESTED TATTOO ON HIM. HE COULDVE BEEN LEFT IN THE EARLY 2000'S FR FR.
I’m confused so if someone says they’re happy they aren’t being honest?
@Jonathan-cz4ky not necessarily, but it feels like something you're supposed to say ya know?
@@Jonathan-cz4ky they didn’t just yes I’m happy and grateful for my life, which may be an honest answer - they specifically delve into how happiness is fleeting and discuss how it isn’t a constant state. They haven’t ‘achieved’ happiness because of or despite their success, they acknowledge it’s a transitory state we all experience coming and going
@@KatePepper55 …isn’t that common sense? Happiness…is an emotion. Emotions are naturally fleeting. So exactly why does someone need to delve into the particularities of that? If the answer *currently* is yes I truly am struggling to see an issue with that.
I never expected to receive such existential peace and sage wisdom from Steve-O but here we are
You gotta be young and dumb to be old and wise and he sure was young and dumb lol
Same here sister. Im so glad to hear it though. I can relate 1000%
His intelligence never ceases to amaze me.
Ok, I'll count it ; people who carry the mc1r gene(any red hair) have a higher chance of developing dopaminergic systems failure (dst), dsf leads to Parkinson's, and dsf causes constipation. Starts at the colon because they found that laxative will hinder the development from dsf to Parkinson's.
It does have to do with the gut biome, but that's more to do with serotonin production and then serotonin production would have supported the healthy nervous system.
@@AminJones wtf are you talking about
I love how real this show keeps itself
Nice
Thumbs
Magic of good food
I would never watch this. Steve-O is nasty, eating lobster as I see in the thumbnail. He’s already proven himself to be a general pile of doo-doo with his personality on and off camera in his personal life, so I’m not surprised that he exhibits cruelty and selfishness in his eating habits too.
Josh is such an asset to the whole mythical universe. So excited to watch this series continue to grow
Recognizing Josh’s immense talent and giving him his own channel to have creative control over was the best decision R&L have made in recent times.
Man I would love John Green to come on this. His profound relationship with existential dread and death and the pondering of such, his mental health and all of that... also just... yeah. I hope John comes out with a book eventually and comes on this show.
This should be a top comment ☝️
Honestly either (or both!) of the Green brothers would be such a good guest, I think they'd have completely different perspectives from one another
@@clairevamphaving both Hank and John would be fascinating.
I didn’t know I needed this till I read this comment but I NEED THIS
one of the food items he would feature would definitely be dr. pepper lol
Stevo is such a paradox. You listen to him and wonder how someone so well spoken and clearly intelligent can commit to doing such stupid and risky things.
Umm Jackass came on like 30 years ago and he got sober and is high on life now, people change duh.
@@zacharythomas8888lol shut up know-it-all, steve-o is still acting an absolute fool. he's just not on drugs
Drugs and alcohol. He grew up going to a good school in London and was accepted into a good university. He was never dumb, he just let other substances do the thinking for him.
@@zacharythomas8888it came out 23 years ago. Saying 30 is pushing it.
Ummm Stevo even said he was doing dumbshit before he made it big so I would say 30 years thanks for the update though on googling Jackass air date 🧐
I think this was probably the best Steve-O interview I have ever seen, and I think best Last Meal I have watched. Thanks everyone who helped create it.
This was the best episode of Last Meal. Steve-O is the epitome of what it means to be human - honest, humble, vulnerable, brave, funny, intelligent, and compassionate. Every time I come across an interview with him, the more he intrigues me with his introspection into life.
Well said
He definitely has one of the most unique and interesting personalities that I've seen.
I concur.
Tom hanks was a pure gem
Steve-o is so well spoken and intelligent. I'm glad he found peace in sobriety. Im 1 of 8 kids, lost my sister at 14 to addiction, and 5/8 used heavily. Luckily we're mostly in a better place now but it's a horrible thing. The way that he articulates his battles with addiction and his spirituality is truly beautiful. This man really is a gift to this earth.
I'm so sorry you lost your sister 😢 I can't imagine how tough that must have been. Sending you love 🥰
Steveo intelligent... maybe if you're the comparison... idk ... go tell your story to someone who cares
@@lubomirradev9801 Hope you find your peace, I can see you're still looking. No need for hate.
Haven’t finished the episode yet but hearing from Steve-O this felt like he was a perfect fit for this type of show.
@@lubomirradev9801hehe.. no.. that isnt his strongest point..
I grew up watching this man do the craziest things imaginable. He's come a long way and is an inspiration in a totally different way now. He's got so much love and has a unique way of expressing it.
ITS CRAZY YALL SUPPORT THIS LAME ASS DUDE. HE HAD A WHOLE BABY GETTING MOLESTED TATTOO ON HIM. HE COULDVE BEEN LEFT IN THE EARLY 2000'S FR FR.
Well said. He's doing great things and it makes me happy. Seeing the opposing situation with bam makes me sad.
Arguably making him a TRUE entertainer, because he decided to get straightened out so that he could _CONTINUE_ providing us with *much needed* distractions!
Stevo saying “oh no!” So genuinely when Josh takes the hot sauce.. while stevo does what he does is so funny.
Josh is rapidly becoming one of my favorite, and for my money, one of the best interviewers in the game. These questions always bring out fantastically well-thought-out answers.
I'd really love to see Brennan Lee Mulligan on here. See his thoughts on life and death as a whole, break down the magic of D&D and why being a Dungeon Master is something that called to him. Also I feel the energy between him and Josh would be amazing.
Yes!!! Seeing Brennan hash out life with Josh would be so interesting
Seconded! please get Brennan on here. Or Aabria
was literally thinking that this morning lol he would be a great guest
YESSSS
Oh my god yes please!!!!
I really didn't expect Steve-o to say SO many comforting things in this video. Such a wholesome watch
Man, steve-o has been super wholesome and positive these last few years. I am a huge fan of his growth and sobriety. Ive never used drugs or drank or smoked. But have family who has been cut down from these things. So seeing steve-o doing so well after his past gives me hope that we always have hope.
What I love about the Last Meal is the host is able to present really good questions without it seeming nosey or coming off offensive. He’s genuinely concerned and interested in his topics and shows that well! Love this show 💕
i have only known steve-o through jackass, my dad would crack up at the movies but i never really was into it. this interview brought me a newfound respect for this man, what an incredible life journey he’s been on and so glad he is with us today doing what he’s doing. i come back to rewatch this interview because of all he has to say.
there is also something so wholesome about the way steve-o eats his food and listens while he’s eating. how he holds the spoon with a fist and eats the mashed potatoes, the big bites he takes with the vegan dip or the grilled cheese dipped in the soup. how he laughs with full cheeks, how he nods with a smile as he takes a bite and listens to josh so intently. it’s childlike and pure, as if he’s enjoying these foods for the very first time. it might be little details i focus on, but it really makes this show format feel so complete and human. great stuff! ❤
Steve-O has slowly become an inspiration in recent years. Not with the wild and crazy stuff, but with his ability to be relatively honest about himself. It takes a lot to be able to look at addiction and emotional issues and put it on yourself as a path towards controlling them. I hope things keep going up for him. Thank you, Josh[ and crew], for yet another episode of this show that just nails it.
He really highlights that you can't just coast through your problems in life. Being in control of yourself takes work, and you don't have to enjoy it all the time. But every problem you beat by working through it is a win, and worth being proud of.
@@Daniel092004well put
Josh really toes the line with serious topics. He always gets me to the point of squinting and thinking hard about whether I felt what he said was out of pocket, and then he slaps down a relatable story about his father deteriorating in the hospital. I appreciate Josh just facing the world with so much candor. What a way to live.
Steve-Os journey through his pains, addictions, and subsequent sobriety gave me hope for myself to kick my painkiller snorting problem. I couldn't and wouldn't have succeeded without seeing someone deeper in the trenches get out and thrive.
Distraction therapy works Steve-O. Thank you. ❤
I've always pegged Steve-O (figuratively, that is) as a modern-day ascetic, and this vindicates that. Solid dude. True philosopher.
I am so glad to see Steve-O healthy and sober for 15 years. He's such an inspiration and proof that anyone can do it.
Fr❤❤❤
The new
I love how Steve o holds a spoon like a little kid, whole hand over the top of the handle. He's never lost that kid in him but grew into a completely self respecting man.
Hearing him talk about his mum is really insightful and gave a lot to think about. My dad died very suddenly last year (as in they found him after a few days, had an autopsy etc) and he was only 64. Then after that my husband's grandma (89) started to deteriorate and had a point this year of waking up each day like 'is today the day' and hearing Steve-o talk about the relief of his mother finally passing after suffering for so long makes me sorta grateful my dad went the way he did so I didn't have to watch him deteriorate.
On the one hand the shock was something else and it was still a traumatic experience and I didn't get to say goodbye or come to terms with it but I know I would struggle to wake up each day wishing that he would die so he could be at peace and everyone could start to properly heal and grieve.
Steve-o has got a lot of strength to not only go through that but to openly talk about it, same goes to my husband and Josh, its oddly comforting.
This interview has 100% had me tearing up. Stevie-O had such a hold on my childhood and now to hear his beautiful words. Thank you for this
I like how he wants everything to be vegan and then his main course is a full lobster 😂😂😂
@@beanthefaery23"vegan" with the exception for seafood is called pescatarian. Vegan is no animal products and no animal by-products at all, and believe it or not, bugs and "sea bugs" seafood is in the animal kingdom

Thank you for talking about your father and his struggles after heart surgery, Josh. That was a really vulnerable moment and very hard to share. I can see that you're still grappling with it but you're doing a great job here. Keep up the good work.

I love this series very much.
Josh has been incredible, he connects with the guests very well (especially Tom Hanks, Posty and John Boyega episodes)
Phenomenal works from Josh and the crew, hope that you could invite Gordon Ramsay and Sean Evans to the show, it would be epic 😊
Sean Evans would be such a great guest!!!
And Ben Schwartz! My favorite episode
Y'all obviously aren't real fans if you don't get the beef between Josh and Ramsey lol
Still waiting on that Jada Pickett Smith Video to be reuploaded
Hearing him talk about recovery and how he feels 15 years largely not distracted is motivational. Addition, whether it’s your own or a close loved one is an ugly thing and Steve-o is a great advocate proving if he can do it, so can anyone else.
Steve talking about his mother and not understanding why God let her go through that really just helped me so thank you, I’m grateful to come across this and I hope he knows he at least has helped one person in this world with this story.
Really fantastic interview. I’ve been following Steve-O’s progress for many years now, and being a semi-regular watcher of Mythical Kitchen, I couldn’t miss this. Really impressed with Josh especially, and the wonderful questions/discussions he brought forward. I learned more about both these men today, and I’m sharing this video with family! Bravo Josh and Mythical Kitchen!!! 👏👏👏

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Steve-O's originally from the UK?
Man. Steve-o's answer to 'are you happy?' really really hit home with me. Like, im not at the point of accepting my drowning in anxiety but being happy feels too foreign to my body and it over reacts to get it out, i think being happy is the scariest emotion of them all. Im scared that if im happy that my life will be ruined in moments.
Never had anyone put into words how well how I feel so deeply.
Steve o is so real. The answer to his “are you happy” question really made me realize that it’s okay for me to not be happy and I completely feel that.
I don't think I can express with words how much I love Steve-O. I was a huge Jackass fan as a teen, and watching him become the man he is today has been so emotional and inspiring. I hope he realizes one day that at least part of his purpose is being a guiding light for a lot of people trying to pull themselves out of addiction and mental health slumps.
You said it so well!
Love Steve-O. The fact that’s he turned his life around so much and is still the same guy really makes me happy. He’s the most chill guy ever.
can not help but tear up when they both talk about their parents. just really genuine people
It was nice to hear Josh talk about his dad without the jokes.
Steveo is so good at talking, I love listening to him. Followed him for years and his journey is 100% worth the universe keeping him around.
Josh is soo good at having it as a conversation instead of it being a cut a dry w and a interview. That takes so much talent!!! This show has to blow up soon

I love that Josh's chaos really struggles to stay inside with more chaotic energy guests. His inner chaos is like I SEE YOU AND I WANT TO PLAY!!!!
Perhaps not… Sometimes there’s something really comforting to be found in someone with similar trauma.
Currently watching this in bed with my cat who is dying of heart failure. Josh talking about watching his father break apart piece by piece... that is exactly what I saw starting yesterday. Thanks for having these conversations.
i feel like Steveo's idea of a last meal is the same as a 7 year olds idea of a last meal lmao

Steve-O is so humble this video proved how we can all go from any addiction to a role model. Great video as always
This is my favorite series on RUclips. The conversations are so good and Raw and fun and the people coming on are amazing and so open. Not to mention Josh being such a great host and asking the best questions….its just so good lol please don’t ever stop this show!
Damn, this was a great interview. Good job to Josh (and the team). Also, Steve-o is way more intelligent as he might appear. That became perectly clear in the first minutes of the interview. Awesome job guys. As said, hot ones quality.
Steve-O didn't drop out to go to clown college because he's dumb, he did it because he wants to entertain people and make them happy. I hope one day society learns that being a doctor or a lawyer isn't the only measure of or road to success
Funny enough, Steve-O's appearance on Hot Ones was what alerted me to the fact that there's more to him than just dumb stunts. I've been a huge fan of him as a person since then, though I still cringe at his old work.

Y'all should have Kieran Culkin on the show for a last meal. He and Josh would have great chemistry and would have fun of the show together, plus he does great in interviews. I think he would have interesting opinions on this topic and would overall be a fun guest.
Not even halfway through the video and I can already say that this is a fantastic upload. The topics discussed so far were fascinating and the insights shared by Steve-O were quite refreshing when it comes to his outlook on life and how he deals with the thought and inevitability of death.

he represents so much of this generation of kids I grew up seeing. the fact that he was that crazy Jackass guy and we all kinda saw the drunken antics and wrote him off as being just one of those guys. He’s come a long way obviously but in a weird way he still represents the ability of all of us to grown into fully fulfilled adults, and in a way that feels authentic to his lived experience.
he literally lived, lost, learned and to see him doing so well makes me feel heartened to the idea that maybe we can all do well too

Just taking a second to appreciate how Reese's cups and pecan pie are 2 of my favorite desserts of all time and it took this absolute madman to make me realize the perfect marriage of the 2
Steve-O is a more then perfect representation of how people just assume there isn't a shred of intelligence or little of that in performing artists (or those that create and conjure, should we say), no. I greatly appreciate the fact the man has great philosophical thoughts and Josh is vibing with that so wonderfully. I love the people that live outside of the box a bit more :)
I have a death complex, and just knowing other people do too, and work through it with solid advice like Steve-O’s, makes me think everything is okay. So Steve-O, thank you. Your purpose is giving serenity, distraction, and inspiration. ❤

I’ve always admired Steve-O for being able to find that strength to get out of that dark place. It was something I wanted so badly for my mother. Unfortunately she didn’t find that strength before she overdosed 5 years ago. So happy and proud for ANYBODY that brings themself out of that place ❤
So excited to see the show returning with solid guests. Also, love everything about Steve-O's life philosophies. I feel like he stole them from my head.
Damn, y'all are really smashing out some great guests now
this is the most down to earth steve-o interview i've ever seen, absolutely enthralling to watch!
Hanging out with old people is awesome. I think it'd be great to make it easier for people to do so. They've lived long lives and have so many great stories.
Steve O is so cool man. Coming back from the kind of lifestyle he lived gives him so much wisdom and I’m so happy he’s around to share it
I absolutely love how philosophical this episode is. Truly wonderful
This is the best interview I've ever seen. Thank you guys
Much love Steve-O. I grew up with you. And watching you grow into who you are now. Is absolutely beautiful. 💜
"Are you happy?". Best answer ever. Love you steveo and you are still here to help inspire and share your love of life with people like me and others. Keep on keeping on. Hope you live a long and hustling life.
