Search and Destroy for the pre internet generation. Cant think of a band that were more on point than the Scream on this album. Total journey peak for the band and Philip K Dick vision. Love you Booby and the boys. Life changers
Xtrmntr album blew the doors, and half the street away. Played it a silly amount of times. Still is amazing and stands up to the ravages of time and trends.
The Primals at their most demented. A fantastic take on the Velvet Underground's "I Heard Call My Name", this what rock music is meant to sound like - intense, out of control and utterly brilliant. The twenty years since its' original release has done nothing to diminish its' intensity. File next to Sonic Youth's "Hot Wire My Heart" and The Stooges' "Death Trip" for sheer unhinged mayhem.
Genius track from the scream... this and swastika eyes are about as dirty and subversive as rock and roll gets!!!! This album and vanishing point are the high water marks of their career imho.
R.I.P. Throb. X Rip it up the fuck up lad!! Gone too soon. Nice one for all the boss gigs in Liverpool. That goes for all the Scream Team. Thanks for taking The Kills out on tour too. Fuckin' boss la! Nae fuckin' danger! X
This could be one of the most heavily invigorating songs ever written... But I never got those lyrics. "hit the accelerator"? Seriously? I always thought he was saying "baby letto-wear... Letto-wear... Come on!!"
I used to say "I love this song, because it sounds exactly the same like in my head, so when it plays, it balances me out with rest of the world". suffice to say, people didn't like it when I said that, so I stopped. like, 2 months ago, I learned I have ADHD, and normal ppl simply can't imagine having so much "noise", so much "traffic" in your head. I had no idea normal people have moments when they "don't think about anything"...
Kevin Shields + Primal Scream = some of the best shit ever. The production is from another planet.
What a monster tune ... best live band .. this is what rock'n'roll should sound like
I shudder to think how crazy this would sound live.

Steve Jones and Kevin Shields in the same place, bet that sounded brutal as!
Such a smart move to add Jonesy to their most fuck you contribution. Future punk never sounded better!
Never knew it was Steve Jones, and this was one of my favourites back in 2000 😂

Chances of a 20yr anniversary tour for XTRMNTR are probably slim but god I hope they do one..
@@00sinders I could die a happy R&R soldier!
Not sure subversive is the right word, but it sure kicks you in the teeth!

Best alternative garage rocknroll song from 90s (or maybe 2000s?)
