I'm sorry and I don't mean to be one of those negative hate mongers that plague the net but please consider this. You guys seem a little narcissistic and self absorbed. I thought this was going to be more of a learning experience about Astana but instead we get you two taking selfies everywhere and not only this, you get annoyed when the kazakhs walk into your frame???? Jesus how self absorbed can you get, I guess it's not like it's their country or anything and you two are just guests there who should perhaps feel a little grateful you've been let in. To those of you reading this who've never been there, Kazakhs are really nice people and they love Westerners, especially Americans. They are just shy and reserved and very modest. They have really foreign ideas and sensibilities sometimes compared to us in the west. For example, my wife is a Kazakh from Almaty and when we are there, her family doesn't really see time commitments as hard as I do as an American and this can be frustrating. So if they agree to a 1 pm meeting, this really means between 130 (if they are older) and 3 pm if they are younger. Also, an invitation to a few people could quite easily mean times two this number for family functions as they will just assume it is ok to invite anyone in the family they want, even if it's your party and you haven't planned for this. Expect lots of gift giving and receiving. But having said all this, being in their country, I would never ever assume to yell or be stupid with people over any of these cultural misunderstandings. If I misunderstood you guys, I apologize. Also, one last hint for you single guys....a secret. Kazakhstan has many, many beautiful and intelligent women that have fantastic manners. I've never seen anyplace quite like it in that regard
Sorry about that, maybe this would be better? born-to-wander.com/2016/07/10/kazakhstan-surprised-astana/ Or check out our other videos, they should have some more information. We arrived in Astana with no information at all and that's why we were surprised. Don't think I took any selfies though... I was brought up to never walk in front of a photographer. It's something that I'm used to happening, and to doing, all over the world. I don't mind it happening when I'm shooting video because it adds life, but it's frustrating with stills. I didn't yell at anyone mind, that was just a joke that fell flat. Oddly, you seem to be the only person as unhappy with this video as I am. I really wasn't expecting it to do so well, but it's definitely my least favourite from Kazakhstan and probably overall. The reason I do this is to learn how to shoot and edit video, and how to speak to a camera. It's a learning process and I'm still figuring out what works and what doesn't. Anyway, hope you're having fun wherever you are in the world and sorry for the late reply. We've been in Cuba and then it was Christmas! Hope Santa was good
Yeah mate, thanks for your response and merry Christmas to you as well. You are blessed to be able to travel the world as you do and I'm envious of your Cuba trip, I've always wanted to go there. Good luck with your "framing" issues and I apologize if I came off a bit harsh but do me a favor please... Please don't take this as condescending or preaching, and you two seem pretty smart and are obviously world-wise, but please take your lives seriously before you consider traveling to certain parts of the world as I'm sure you do already. We here in the states had these nut-jobs that thought it would be perfectly fine to hike across Afghanistan because THEY were peaceful and assumed if they were, everyone in the world would respond in kind. Those retards are still in captivity and will probably end up with their heads sawed off. Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan sound similar and are in many ways, but in reality can be very different in terms of Islamic crazy levels and corruption. Trust me, the last time I was there I literally just stepped foot in the country for 10 minutes and was approached with "salaam alaikum" and forced into a bribe or go to jail scenario. Just don't be an "anti-war nut" and try to go someplace crazy to prove a point and get yourselves captured. You seem to be living a life many people, myself included, would consider ideal and I would really like to see you continue to live out your journey, wherever it takes you. Good luck, be safe, and thank you for taking us to places most of us will never go.
Yes, we're very lucky! But I feel that if I didn't say yes to doing things like this then I'd never be able to do them. Safety's often our first concern. There was a rare terrorist attack in Almaty while we were there and we just got the hell out of Dodge. Our Arabic should be good enough to get us out of a salaam alaikum situation though. Neither of us are anti-war at all, but usually when we're in these countries (not Kazakh or Cuba) we're working and this is our very little bit on the side. We need to know how to stay safe and keep our wits about us. Anytime! Thanks for watching!
Born to Wander وعليكم! ) You and your wife are very nice people! We will always welcome! Come to Kazakhstan again! You have a good vlogs! It is a pity that few people have subscribed! You need to change the camera or improve video quality on RUclips! May God grant you the good and happiness!)
I've added the song titles into the description now, I finally remembered! Or you can watch them all in tonight's video here ruclips.net/video/qJuxCmmpdcc/видео.html
Don't know about the rest of it being terrible, we found some good shishas and food and things like that... We We had next to no time in Astana though, just a quick visit and then out to explore the rest of the country
Couldn't finish watching this video. Aside from the awful music being way too loud, that girl is insuffrable. She seems totally aloof, annoyed and uninterested in anything all the time... unless she's posing for the camera. Which she does too many times.
London, new york huhhhh so old, kazak wow so beautiful, but islamic creature is not see,coz liberal is the constitution in this country, but whatever lah.
I think that is only Astana and other big cities are nice and beautiful. Other cities are fucking USSR and it looks very shit. And most of people, who was born in soviet union just got stuck in time.

Seli20 Asia, Борат - это ты, раз о нём думашь!😂
I was born here.

You have to adjust voice - music balance, imo
I think you're probably right, and I think I've started doing that in later videos

Is she special needs? An SEN school may have been attended.
Astana great city but not so good like Almaty
Is there competition between them? Like Belfast and Derry, or Prague and Brno?
пока что
+Born to Wander almaty is former capital of the Kazakhstan but astana is more modern
+Born to Wander almaty is the biggest city in Kazakhstan but its more like Moscow
Yeah, both are great cities. We spent a bit more time in Almaty, but do they have a rivalry?
London, new york huhhhh so old, kazak wow so beautiful, but islamic creature is not see,coz liberal is the constitution in this country, but whatever lah.
