  • I explore the recently renamed capital city of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan (Astana). A city of impressive architecture, there are plenty of cool buildings to see. After spending some time walking around, I begin to wonder if I'm the only tourist.

    As a cultural and lingual enthusiast, Kazakhstan has recently been put in my bucket list to travel to someday. The sheer geographical enormity of this beautiful Central Asian titan holds so many surprises: Majestic mountains, pristine forests, vast steppes, and a fascinating and diverse patchwork of different ethnic groups, especially the amazing Turkic people that is the namesake of this country: The Kazakhs. I hope to one day travel to Kazakhstan and meet its people. This is truly one of the world's most beautiful and fascinating places to travel to, and I hope others can have the chance to experience and cherish Kazkahstan to the fullest. Greetings and much love to the people of Kazakhstan from the United States! 🇰🇿🇺🇸

    Loving your Kazakh videos. I was there in June/July this year and had a great time in Almaty and Astana. I travelled to Astana for a concert with Dimash Kudaibergen, who is a brilliant young singer, much loved in Kazakhstan. It was amazing. Thousands of fans from around the world came, so it was a bit more touristy than your experience! 😂 I loved the whole experience, people, landscape and architecture too 👍

    As a resident of this city, the city of Astana was renamed to Nur-Sultan against the will of the people of Kazakhstan, and this is very sad. I can say with confidence that 99.9% were against renaming the capital. Since the word Astana, from Kazakh translates as Capital.

    Hello brothers🇹🇷🇰🇿, im from Turkey
    I've been living in Kazakhstan for 3 years and it is definitely a beautiful country. However i did have some problems.
    I am fluent at Kazakh language since my mom was Kazakh. Unfortunately people here speak more Russian than Kazakh, this was weird at first but i got used to it.
    But the real issue is that some Kazakh people themselves dont know how to speak Kazakh while people from other nations are fluent at it.
    Just wanted to address this for people visiting Kazakhstan that you should probably get a Russian dictionary.
    And i know it is not your fault because it was under soviet influence for so many years.
    Apart from this the country is magnificent

    Jason thank you for your video! You did a great job of showing the attractions in Nur-Sultan! I can see how it is important to have airport links with other cities in order to have tourists. Hopefully in the future there will be increased air routes to Nur-Sultan so more people will be able to visit. Awesome video! Thank you! Thumbs up!

      Мы самая богатая страна в плане ресурсов в СНГ после РФ. Если бы эта страна досталась тому же Лукашенко он бы сделал Эмираты тут. Все что сейчас есть мог бы любой сделать. Этот старый маразматика сразу отказался от ядерного оружия! Теперь КЗ будет плясать под дудку РФ и Китая до Судного Дня. А была уникальная возможность быть по настоящему независимой страной. Это не лидер нации. Это мелкий человек.

    Hi!✌😀Welcome to Astana. I hope you'll enjoy your traveling😁. I advise you to visit Burabay. It's not so far from Astana. Burabay is called the pearl of Kazakhstan, because the nature is very beautiful!😻 A lot of interesting legends are told about this place. One of my favourite is about how God created Burabay

      @sheranella 5 лет назад +2

      @@komalkhan4949 in this video you can see only a small part of the city. This area is still developing and being built. There are crowds and traffic in the center. Astana is a really noisy city. And of course, every cities have 2 sides. You can see shack next to futuristic skyscrapers.

    • @nbchannelnb
      @nbchannelnb 5 лет назад +3

      Komal Khan the matter is that those areas were built like in last 3-5 years. They are very big, but not enough living apartments nearby to make it lively. There are busier corners of Astana, the busiest one is the old centre recently called Arbat. There are your numerous typical street foods, street performers, river activities and the best basketball courts of the city.

    Some people used to say that Almaty is for joy and chilling while Astana is for working. Sad but true.

    This winter was actually around -30 degrees, and as a European, it was a bit harsh.
    But I must say, I'm starting to get used to it, and by now, I love the snow and the cold.
    Keep up the good work!
