I think the reason she didn't do it was because shelf life is key. Think of all the expired product they're gonna have to collect assuming they give credit. And if they don't give credit stores won't order a lot if it doesn't sell.

I'm mexican, and we do this all the time (the sticks and pico de gallo) perhaps she was talking about that, jicama is a good snack, but for healthny tortillas here the real boom is tortillas of nopal (a type of comestible cactus) that are even more healthny
