did not land them a deal but it sure got the sharks attention.. also added to the bacstory and give it a boost of love to the pitch.. every shark ate that part up just like the waffles. he just did not make enough money yet.. now it is a 900k
I have a feeling this guy is gonna crush it. He’s got a good product. He’s got powerful friends. He’s got manners. And he’s got a wife who REALLY loves him and believes in him. A man with a wife like that can do anything he puts his mind to.
They don’t realize he invited the popcorn flour & they could do so much more than pancakes w/ his recipe & method. Cake, cookies, Keto, brownies it’s endless
Kevin O'Leary's comments were spot on. I want to try this product so bad. I don't like how pancakes are so thick and make me feel that so stuffed with flour feeling, bloated, but with little taste. A light pancake and light waffle sounds like a dream. Can't wait to try it.
UPDATE : After Shark Tank, his sales doubled 24 hours after the episode premiered. Since then, Long Table has expanded, selling more (different) products and business is growing slowly.
They don’t even realize he invented the popcorn flour & they could use it for so much more than pancakes! Cookies cake brownies keto desserts tortillas you name it it’s endless
Honestly just even calling up during the pandemic and checking on them. Dude probably has many thousands of friends I wonder how many calls he made lol
Love the product, hate fkn everything about that cringe pitch with the acrobatics and the celebrity and throwing food on the floor for no damn reason. F that, man!
What Kevin said at the end is not just for people in business either, everybody should have social media and once you find something you're passionate about, show it and show it constantly and it can turn that passion into a business and become something bigger.
I don’t have an interest in monetizing my hobbies and things I do for fun. Then it just becomes more work for what will likely be a small return. Yeah, you never know if something is gonna blow up but, I’d rather just enjoy something I love and not try to make it into my second or new job. I value my time and thus, my time off, too much.
No, this is stupid advice. Not everyone is a narcissist that wants to showcase their entire life to the world. A big problem today is the lack of mystique in everyone's lives since everybody knows what everybody is doing. Nothing good comes out of revealing everything about yourself. Unless you own a business that you know for a fact will grow because of social media, there's no reason to have it other then to keep in contact with people.
The silk art perfomer didnt make any sense, she just wanted to show off her skills on national television...it was completely unnecessary and took away from what the product was...really stupid
When he introduced his wife right before presenting his offer, I thought he was gonna say "Lindsay's the love of my life, and I am Samuel Taylor, the founder of Long Table in Chicago. I'm here to offer my wife in exchange for $140,000."
You should’ve brought out the flying unicorns, Jackalopes, and dancing bears. The most incongruent sales pitch I have ever seen with a hodgepodge of unrelated things. Peace to the penguins. 😂😂😂
After shark tank his sales crushed it! Nearly doubled! He has since then, made a whopping $34,000 in 2023 and projected to hit $39k by the end of 2024. Just wow! What a specimen of a man!
@@jmg9509 Somehow I don't think he needed his wife swinging from the rafters on a silk sheet, to feel supported. It had absolutely nothing to do with his presentation, and seemed very oddly out of place. Also, it's joke. Calm down.
Everyone hating on the guy but the fact that he has a very supportive wife and a great friend who didn't had to go do this but still decided to show up for his presentation is awesome.
This dude just needs to tell his story... people will fall in love with him and his sweet wife. Their love story is absolutely mesmerizing and infectious! He needs to do three things: 1. Open social media platforms, use a professional marketer if needed. 2. Patent his flour if possible. 3. Watch the money flow. It's really that easy. Heck, he might come to the Shark Tank again once his business has matured.
I also seek out these healthier versions and will be purchasing very soon. I feel the sharks hated on him a little not sure why. Sometimes you can't buy everything and this man has a very supportive loving partner. Try buying that with all your money sknobs!
The big issue is the price point. There's not much of a market for $11 package of pancakes. Even Kodiak Cakes seem cheap compared to these. The best pancakes health wise for the price are Good Wheat distributed by Arcadia Wellness- lots of fiber, reasonable sodium and sugar, along with 5 grams of protein.
Best part of the whole pitch was the adorable, supportive wife that loves him and has faith in him to be a success with the product or other endeavors!
The fact that he never promoted his products on social media tells me he’s not an easy person to work with. He’s too stubborn to learn new things. He probably thinks, "I don’t like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. I will just sell on my website. People will come. I want to do business my own way. I can succeed without social media." You never want a partner like this stubborn guy.
This is the only time I remember when there was zero talk about percentages ,perfect agreement that it was a great product and not even one offer from the sharks .
Am I the only one who’s actually tried this product? I bought it after the show first aired. It was around Father’s Day and they were giving a coupon and free shipping to try it. I actually really like the pancakes but it is very, very expensive. And the serving size that’s listed on the package makes absolutely no sense. Serving size like three silver dollar size pancakes.
Who even takes O'leary seriously after FTX? He took $15 million dollars to "be a spokesperson" then defended SBF after it all came crashing down. He's disgusting.
I have a feeling the sharks are going to regret not backing Long Table. However their sage wisdom filled advice should be great fuel if he's prepared to light the fire.
Brilliantly done. Got your attention…. Wonder where the heck that was going to go and then bam… most awesome product. Thought it was going to be super cheesy but just brilliant!!!!
The acrobatics portion was so unnecessary lol
I figure the acrobatics and throwing the popcorn and having David Schwimmer are why they actually let him on the show.
Yeah I agree. I don't see the correlation.
I seen this before and thought the exact same thing. So ridiculous
did not land them a deal but it sure got the sharks attention.. also added to the bacstory and give it a boost of love to the pitch.. every shark ate that part up just like the waffles. he just did not make enough money yet.. now it is a 900k

This was THE comment!!!!
I am definitely buying his product... Now I just have to find it then market it on social media myself.
And they could do so much buying his flour recipe and method - not just pancakes but cakes keto brownies cookies 🍪
They don’t realize he invited the popcorn flour & they could do so much more than pancakes w/ his recipe & method. Cake, cookies, Keto, brownies it’s endless
Powerful words! So true

David Schwimmer is such a humble guy.
He’s great.
Nice guy. Though his presents and lack of investment likely turned off the Sharks. Like why isn't he an investor?
And totally regretted agreeing to be there 😂

Humble ppl don't get plastic surgery....

Good to hear. Thanks for the update. Hope his success continues. 🥞🧇🥞
@dannytv12 i took it like the business won’t take risks and grows products steadily, increasing production incrementally instead of exponentially.
@dannytv12 why you think? Look at that price… pancakes are normally cheap
Barbara did not disappoint 😂 2:52 "A crunchy aftertaste" ... Aftertaste cannot be crunchy lol

Ha!
I rewound the video twice to make sure I heard her right. I scroll down to the comments and this is the first one. Glorious.

This pitch took so many odd twists and turns.
All for 250k in sales
This couple is like that one girl doing handstands in public for attention
😆perfect analogy
The wife is like Lucy from I Love Lucy. “WAAAAAA Ricky I wanna do acrobatics during your pitch!!”
Totally unnecessary for this product presentation. No correlation at ALL .
Love the product, hate fkn everything about that cringe pitch with the acrobatics and the celebrity and throwing food on the floor for no damn reason. F that, man!
Yeah kind of ruined it for me. No thanks.

I think it's great that David Schwimmer went on and helped his friend out. But yeah the acrobatics were a bit much.
OK, I love the product and nothing he has done bothered me so I will buy his product.
Calm down dude, have a pancake
Barbara: Your sales show you need money and that you came here needing an investor. Because of that reason, I’m out.
He thought bringing in a celebrity would help but in fact it hindered because he hadn't even invested himself
well it was the celebrity's idea.
I disagree.

You need social media to trick people into buying your overpriced product

I wouldn’t trust David Schwimmer with food products. His Dad makes a famous cashew-and-raisin snack mix, but always skimps on the cashews.
Famous for skimping on the cashews? 😂
No. He just gives extra raisins.
@@bash547 dead looool

Sickening!
Paltrow asked Schwimmer “What are you doing here?” which is exactly what I would’ve asked her! Gwyneth Paltrow on _Shark Tank_??? 😅
It's a great diet approach. I was annoyed out of wanting to eat their pancakes or waffles.
Damn David seemed more nervous than guest himself.
When he introduced his wife right before presenting his offer, I thought he was gonna say "Lindsay's the love of my life, and I am Samuel Taylor, the founder of Long Table in Chicago. I'm here to offer my wife in exchange for $140,000."

The level of cringe I felt was unreal.
What cringe??
This is one of the cringest episode
King Valley Popcorn owns the patent for popcorn flour. Also popcorn flour pancakes were first invented for President Truman who hated wheat
Superb summary from Kevin. It's really: "Tell, don't just show."

4:20 These camera guys😂😲
The best part is when she said "You did so good" and I can definitely say this business will soar soon. ❤
The product is too expensive for a simple carbohydrate powder mix. The trend now is low carb, high protein pancake mixes.
popcorn is too cheap of a grain to sell at those high prices
I am looking for healthy, organic options first - I don’t mind if there are lots of healthy whole grains. But i would never pay this for any mix.
Yeah, the silly acrobat part didn't fit the product. I don't get why the name Long Table fits into a pancake product. Change the product name.
It was his wife's idea
What I took from this is if I eat these pancakes I will be able to do all that acrobatic stuff correct?
