- We've seen this before but not quite like this, Waves Harmony really does have some great ways to thicken up your vocals and create those big harmonies! In this video I take a dive into using the midi control to create chords of harmonies to beef up a singular vocal, including how to setup Waves Harmony in Ableton, routing the midi and coming up with a chord progression for the harmonies.

i just bought it havent used it much yet due to me needing to finish my booth but is it always robotic
It's rarely going to be natural sounding, the trick I've found is picking the right voicing and mixing it well - using it subtly works well for me

if you load several copies of the vest and on separate tracks and each one only use it for 1 harmony note then a different one on the next harmony etc i could imagine that you could make eachvoice harmony through settings and different effects on that channel sound unique Id also be interested in automation for volume and pitch on each midi note vibrato etc
Why the vocal is in stereo?
They should give this free to all the people that bought vocal bender
Yeah it does feel like this is Vocal Bender XL, maybe there should be an upgrade price to it but introductory price isn't that bad
I don't have a midi keyboard, can you yse a PC keyboard
Yes, in Ableton you can use the PC keyboard as a midi keyboard
I'm sure you figure this out by now, but you can also drop in any MIDI track that you already have or that you download from a site to control the vocal.

Sounds terrible. the opposite direction music should be going. truly god awful. unsable in unless you produce pop. The serum of vocal plugins. on crack.
As with most plugins like this, it's how you use it - it's not going to be appropriate for every genre. It's a bit like auto tune, you can use it to subtly correct vocal pitch or you can T-Pain it. I think used the right amount this could work well. You can't really compare it to Serum, that is a brilliant synth capable of so many different sounds - you just find people using the same kind of presets with it which can suck.
