It's funny that no one is giving SA a chance to qualify. If anything,they are at a much better chance than SL!!...SA face Pakistan & SL at home and Bangladesh in Bangladesh. You'd assume that SA would beat Bangladesh in atleast 1 test. They do that and win all 4 at home,they are pretty much thru it seems. Given SA's dwindling batting,I feel SL cud pip them in 1. Still SA will be in the mix.
With the Kanpur test headed for a draw,India's chances have taken a beating. Now we'll have to beat NZ 3-0. If we lose even 1, we'll have to win atleast 2 in AUS to guarantee a final spot. And that's very very difficult. Doesn't matter if we won there twice in a row. Given our weaknesses,stupidities (plus missing out on our clutch player in AUS in Pujara) and their strengths,i fear 5-0/4-1 as well. But yea,if there's any team that can beat AUS in AUS,it's only India!!...
Already lost 8 points in WI due to rain and now this. Hope Qudrat doesn't work against us. It'll be too unfair.

Yes, SA has a chance but it won't be easy, winning even one Test against the current Bangladesh at Home will be difficult and SL is playing well now, they may surprise and win a Test in SA.
Apart from India and Australia, Bangladesh will have a good chance to qualify if they win both matches against SA and WI. However, everything depends on India's tour of Australia. (If indeed this test does not produce result)

In WTC, For Tests where both 1st Innings have not been completed and over half time is lost due to rains etc, the Match should be abandoned if both sides agree and it should count towards WTC test match count.

Mendis scored that hundred against England whose bowling lineup is the weakest as far back as I remember in my 10-15 years of watching test cricket.
I challenge him to score runs against our indran and chandran in sri Lanka itself
