Excellent car undoubtedly for those looking for fuel economy. I have a Toyota camry hybrid 2019 and could not be happier. Comfortable and consumptions 4.5lts. Lexus is a more refined range 🙂
The new engine and hybrid system in your Camry gives about 10 mpg extra than the is300h as I know I have one and my brother has the Camry, much better drivetrain in the Camry.
@@shane6115 Of course its better because its newer. But otherwise IS is better driving car and more prestige. Camry is larger and more comfortable for more people but IS is much better to drive than Camry and has better materials and is more silent.
Thank you for your videos. I bought a 2015 F sport with the Levinson system a week and a half ago. Your vids helped confirm the IS was for me. So far I am really enjoying the car and dont think ive been in a vehicle with the same build quality before
It is pleasure.. I just like cars… and fixing things by myself . So I figured out that if I film some of the things that I’d be curious about may be of interest to others as well. So thank you for taking the time to watch my videos :)
@Battery-Powered I've just bought one thanks to your videos ❤. Just wanted to know did you hear the brake pump actuator re pressure when driving off after braking etc? Sounds like a little pump starting for a few seconds. Also do you hear a slight click noise when tapping the break at slow speed and thirdly did your rear breaks apply a little later once you some to a complete stop. It's almost like an electric break getting applied at the rear when stopped. Lastly is there a natural noise which sounds like a little turbo spooling whilst driving? Cheers bro
I was pleasantly surprised to achieve a fuel consumption rate of 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers by using premium fuel (98% octane) and keeping the power gauge at the lower end of the second eco range while driving in the mountains. I drive a 2018 Lexus IS300h. Air resistance had a significant impact, increasing consumption by at least 0.5 liters per 100 kilometers when descending to sea level.
With my CT200H i have a substantial improving in mileage between 95 octane fuel and 100 octane, and I'm talking about real consumption not board computer. With 95 octane my overall consumption is around 20/21 km/L. With 100 octane i constantly score above 22 and easily reach 23/24 on same roads. Its almost 10% more distance.
Have an 2014 F Sport is300h in Australia. Mostly city driving and being stuck in traffic for a good 40 minutes, so that's when I change it up to eco. Good vid mate
Fantastic video! I am especially Interested as I am going to collect my 1st Lexus tomorrow, an is300h. Not too far from where you began your trip in this video :) hopefully I can achieve similar MPG on my return to London.
Hi. Nice video. At 1:00 do i see the cruise control active? The symbol looks like a speed limiter sign but i know that the is300h doesnt have a speed limiter...
If i will be using my is300h like this then i can't see any pleasure at all. Of course to beat the consumption etc you could try, but 66 when in reality is around 63/2 mph.. zzzzzzz.... :)
Withh a 2.0 diesel BMW you could achieve probably 45-50 snd even ragging 40. Would the lexus still achieve 40 if i wasnt so gentle with the accelerator because lexus is underrated in terms of what it offered more reliable then german
Funny enough I had a 300h f sport before my current car a 420d m sport, I never get below 40mpg on the bmw ragging the car but same can’t be said with the Lexus you can manage 28mpg only with a heavy foot with the Lexus my real world mpg was around 40 averaged bmw is 50mpg
That would be a difficult one to measure especially here in UK as that is over the national speed limit. But I’d assume it will not be very efficient around 8l/100km or 35mpg imperial

great video man, from one Lexus guy to another
I will a Lexus guy soon. Hopefully in April I get the IS 300h

Glad you enjoyed the video. The is300h is such a well rounded car …. Tough to beat

You should be able to. It’s a great purchase. Wishing you thousands of miles happy driving!
@@Battery-Powered thank you! Very happy with it so far, lovley motor, very smooth and quiet 👌🏼
Reliable, elegant, good on fuel, comfortable efficient in town but on long runs also. I'm planning to buy one next year and take a trip to abroad.
Definitely do Seb such a nice car you will enjoy every second of it
@@Battery-Powered Thank you mate!
@@sebastiancristea2347 most welcome! If you like my car related videos don’t forget to subscribe there is more to come :)
nearly fall a sleep watching this . I'm gs450h owner with 20MPG 😇
I love driving for economy much more fun than speeding.
Thought about the IS300h for a long time, but the CVT screaming when accelerating a bit more aggressive was the kicker for me. Anyways good video!
Not trying to convince you to get one but the positives on that car far outweigh the shortcomings IMO
there is a switch beside driver you can turn on and off to pump in a V6 sound if that helps?
@@RevLexus It is not a pump - it is artificial and digital sound :D
@@iVzQs I know its digital through speakers, its just a terminology I use to say sound is pumped into the cabin :)

Hey , thank you!
Yep you are right it is the cruise control I had active .

Would you not prefer driving with your rev counter on to see your RPM,s
Did you have all the time consumption like this? Or you have done something else with your car eccept battery fan to get that consumption?
It was always like that. When I drive sensibly..
What battery fan?
I easily achieve 65mpg in constant ECO mode an average speed of 60mph, light braking light steering and gentle on the accelerator..
I am impressed by how well balanced this car is between comfort, performance and efficiency
What year is that car from and what tyres have you got?
It is a 69 reg it really is nothing to do with the tyres, in fact they are not high end tyres at all. I now have a Toyota CH-R 70mpg@@gigel99324

2015
@@Battery-Powered
I have the same year but, it looks different inside...
Life is too short, shove it into sport s+ and go go go.
Hi, would you be able to let me know the consumption at 85 miles/h?
That would be a difficult one to measure especially here in UK as that is over the national speed limit. But I’d assume it will not be very efficient around 8l/100km or 35mpg imperial
@@Battery-Powered thank you.
I drived at 135 km/h around 450km and it was around 6.5-7 l/100km. I don't remember exactly how much but no more then 7l for sure.
Never seen that ECO display :-)
I get 46-48.5 mpg winter/summer. Mainly on A roads.
That's very good consumption for winter . Well Done
I'm getting 51mpg I do 95% city driving
That’s just amazing !
The national speed limit is 60mph on a single carriageway bud
why suicidal music in background ????
Haha .
ps just subbed too
Decent video but the music was so depressing
🤣 I’ll try to find a better one next time!

Indeed it is! But in that car even driving slow is a pleasant experience
I dont know why Canada doesn't have is300h models 🥲
I think it was mainly for the European market possibly Japan .
