@@sobekdesignsllc same. I have a spare 11.5 in the safe. And Sons of Liberty will replace them free of charge as I kill them which is nice. I have a backup of pretty much every spring on the rifle. My 11.5 wasn't down cause of it. Also got several spares of ea. Bcg component.
I’ve got a bcm 11.5 upper too. Definitely on the a little over gassed side. Currently using a vltor h2 buffer on it but I’m about to try out a h3 next range trip. Might try a jp buffer system in the future if the vltor h3 doesn’t work out.

if you need to modify your rail to accept the mloc hot button around 10-11 oclock position and then swap your tail cap to the DS00. Between those two and a dab of dialectic grease on the tip of the male end of your hot button lead before sliding into the ds00 would be a worthwhile upgrade. as the orginal mod button is fine especially with the light wing extension. Hwoever the mod button lite is hot garbage and is prone to failure.
does the flip up rear cowitness through the scalarworks mount? The fudd in me likes backup irons as well, lol. Been using the Unity Riser which is great but I think the 1.93 might be a happy medium on guns that aren't specifically for night setups.
Thanks for the video. I'm looking to get me an 556 rifle, but here in Brazil supressors are prohibited, how does that affects the operator not having a 556 supressed in both barrel sizes? Thanks.
Just rust-oleum and pretty much all the camo colors home depot has. In the near future I will make a tutorial video since I seem to get the question often.
While I do have a 10.5 I prefer an 11.5. I could rattle off that the longer system is easier on the internals, ballistics are better, or easier on the supressor but I don't know if any of that's true. 11.5 feels right and provides adequate rail space for my setup so it's my go to
13.7 would be fine for recce. Obviously you are trading some velocity for size but builds that's size with good loads have hosted many a room temp challenge.
@@sobekdesignsllc so do you think a 14.5 w/muzzle break or flash suppressor is the threshold of being best of both worlds. I want to be able to hit at 500 with not a problem and do that affective with good dwell time, but still be short as possible, I know the older M18 10.5's beat up parts really bad so something longer but under 16" as much as possible
Good setup man. I dig it.

Agreed. I bought the Scalarworks 1.93” mount to try out. I have one on all my rifles now.

I second that. Keep it up 🔥🔥
You shot out the barrel after 15,000 rounds? Did I hear that right?
That's a lot of rounds.
I'm moving away from red dots . I'm going with LPVO or Prisms . For my eyes these seem to work the best for me ..
What's quieter the 10.5 with AAC M4-2000 or 14.5 with Mini-4 and is the sound difference very noticeable?

They do not. My compromise was having buis that will work but would require using the QD system on the optic if needed.
Nice builds

If I couldn't use a supressor, I'd use a 14.5.
@@sobekdesignsllc should I have any major concerns about choosing a direct impingment or a gas piston? Or either one will get the job done?
ok, now, you can only pick one, you dont know the mission, just have to make a choice.

I shoot alot. I might have hit that count. It was still fairly quiet. It was just launching a 6 foot flame

What is the length of the rail on the 14.5?

So a 13.7 with an LPVO & an RDS Should be good for all around RECCE riffle?
14 to 16 inch Recce is more like it.
Anything smaller is more suited for CQB.

That is up to the builder and the owner of the rifle.
