Best Ever Roasted Sweet Potatoes Recipe - How to Bake Sweet Potatoes

- These roasted sweet potatoes will hands down be your best way of roasted sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes are deliciously soft inside and caramelized outside, perfect roasted sweet potatoes side dish for the holidays.
INGREDIENTS
3 large sweet potatoes ( i recommend using fresh newly bought sweet potatoes, they taste the best)
3 Tbs olive oil
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
salt and pepper to your taste taste ( i used about 1 and 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper)
BRIEF INSTRUCTION
1. Cut sweet potatoes into cubes
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to sweet potatoes and mix very well
3. Place sweet potatoes into a greased baking pan, be sure to space them out well.
4. Bake at 425 F for 30 to 35 minutes

These are excellent! The whole family loved them. I made one tweak to cut back on the amount of total sugars, I used golden Monk Fruit rather than brown sugar.

I searched youtube for the one recipe that I liked and decided on yours. They were so good that I could not stop eating them, AND I was making dinner. I didn't want to fill up on these due to that Lol. But, I would hold off on the amount of garlic powder just a little. I love garlic but with the combo of the other seasonings, it was just a little too much seasonings. I did however add a half tsp of Cumin and chili powder too. Best Every!!! And healthy.

Hear you and I probably would too but the sugar more than likely adds another dimension to the roasting of them.
@Melissa A I agree, it is more to enhance the other slices, like cinnamon and paprika and is only 1Tbsp, so not very much.

It helps caramelize them.
The brown sugar will caramelize while cooking and add even more crispness to the coated outsides.
22, 03 2024 Hi Claudia, I marked the day when I first made this delicious recipe of yours! It is wonderful! I just loved it. Honestly, I had doubts about the taste when I saw what spices and also sugar and cinnamon you put on..But I had a jump in the deep. The only things I left out were the onion powder because I do not have any, and the paprika because I just made another recipe with zucchinis where paprika also featured and I just did not like it, so I decided against it in this recipe. So, I did it and it was fantastic although in my oven it was nearly burnt by 25 minutes! But I loved it a bit charred it was amazing and funnily enough so filling that the rest of the food I prepared to eat after felt like too much. I tried it with only one sweet potato but it will be on my list of all timers and I guess, finally I hit on something, for which I actually love using sweet potatoes. I tried a few recipes that promised a lot and then did not deliver, but this one was just perfect. Thank you so much for sharing it, I am grateful. Finally, I CAN incorporate sweet potatoes into my diet.
