I love these bells, I know they are not simpsoned tuned so dont sound like Yorkminster, BUT they are the unmistakeable sound of St Pauls, the sound of London, thex ound of VE day. Ifyou could click your fingers and put in Yorkminster bells they just wouldn't sound right and i admit that to me Yorkminster are the finest sounding change ring bells there are.
Some say the higher bells sound like scaffolding poles being dropped, maybe they do but this to me is thexL9ndon s9und, I would pick them anywhere, it makes me think of victory in Europe etc. I think Yorkminster are the best sounding peal of bells but they simply would sound wrong here. I wonder if they ever considered modern tuning when they were sent back to Taylors
Very good bells
