    I have the hardcover NLT large print. I love it but it’s huge. My 69 year old eyes need large print but I need a crane to move it. I thought I would read the Bible and all the notes for the next year or maybe 2. Do you think it’s doable?

      Oh yeah..it's doable. Just may take a little time. But reading the whole Bible really doesn't take very long. So really I think it could be done with like 30 min a day reading.

    Forgive me as I am new to the Bible but I don’t recall my older Bible having the book of Haggai, Nahum and others 🤔. I’m seeking a Christian Bible, is this a good one? Thanks in advance

      Your older Bible was missing a few books then. Or maybe you just didn't notice. I'm not a huge NLT fan...but it's can be good for starters. I personally like the ESV. I have a few videos that explain the difference. Maybe those would be helpful

    When writing or highlighting does it bleed thru to the opposite side of the page???

      I’d recommend getting some specific bible highlighters, they don’t bleed through. Although most bibles have thin pages meaning they allow bleed through with regular highlighters.

    Is the 3rd edition better than the 2nd?

      There’s always some slight improvements and additions. But I don’t know if you’d need the new one of your old one is working ok.

    "400 years between Matthew and Malachi, What happened"... Well, its the reason I read the apocrypha as a source of history and knowledge. Too much drama surrounds these ancient books, they can be very informative if you simply know where the mistakes are and account for them.

    • @ClaimingChristianity
      @ClaimingChristianity  Год назад +2

      I agree..they can be informative and helpful. As long as we don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re scripture.

      @@ClaimingChristianity not canon now, oftentimes was.... I think our canon 66 are likely the best possible to be considered tier one reliable, I don't think they're the only legitimate scripture though. Many books not in canon are referenced by canonical books (Gad, Iddo, Nathan come to mind immediately [noted in chronicles IIRC], Enoch and Melchezidek are mostly lost but recognized to have BEEN well known before the fall of Israel), but they're gone now and if found would have a broken chain of custody causing them to be rejected from canon. Josiah had to reform the last remnant of Israel to even attempt to worship God properly, by recovering SOME lost scripture, to begin revival..... how much was lost by the time he reigned? The revived Israel just ended up a puppet of Greek freaks not much better than Ptolemeic Egypt, and then Roman puppets, before Herod was killing babies there was a lot of purging of the religious establishment.... how much legitimate scripture made it out intact? I'm not wild about anything dug-up and verified by carbon dating either, so dead sea (Essene) scrolls aren't a given either.
      Not all scripture is canon but there is much legitimate "scripture".
