In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, butter, vanilla, sugar, and salt, until well combined. Stir in the cocoa powder. Add the baking powder and almond flour and stir until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. 2. Grease an 8 inch square pan or line with parchment paper. Scoop batter into prepare pan and smooth out top. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely. Goodness, these turned out delicious! I used coconut sugar measured by volume (not weight) but did measure the almond flour by weight. They are perfect. Oh, I used black cocoa powder. Yum!

I haven't used carob powder before so I'm not sure how it tastes. I looked online and I found a page that says carob powder can replace cocoa powder in baking, so I think you could use it instead.
