The beauty, honor, commitment, and integrity of this Art on full display. The end of this video had my eyes tearing up. FOr Buchecha to do something like that, it was so special. It is like Conan said, this is what BJJ is about. That type of honor to a fellow competitor, a friend, a Teammate, is lost in almost every other sport in the World. Just one more of the many reasons why Buchecha is considered to be such a class act. For Leandro, the World lost a little of its shine when it lost him.
This is one of the things that made me love Jiu jitsu not some of the polarising elements that are prominent at times now. This is two people with similar lives coming together through common ground , respecting the hardship that one and other goes through on a daily basis training to perform at such a level. It’s a shame the main outlet for our art is interested primarily in tuning into what makes the media nowadays so divisive but I guess that’s what sells to the newer generations and has a weirdly addictive quality. Anyway brilliant video and more of where this came from. Ousss.
