HI Herr, so can you elaborate bit more in a detail. I'm going to buy one of these knifes. Garberg black blade, Kansabol or Pathfinder black blade. I will do feathering for my SOLO Titan woodburner stove and splitting logs for it. Also slicing bread and sausages!
@@kristaps2010 Well, I‘m not an expert on what steel is best for what. I also don’t really have a use for them at the moment, so I own them because I like them. You might want to look into the specifications of these knives again. …because the Garberg Black Blade has (high) carbon, not a stainless steel, blade, if I remember correctly. So checking the specifications might be a good idea for each knife. The one with the stainless steel blade will likely be more rust resistant than the one with the carbon steel blade. For example.
@@General_ONeill I accidentally added that N to 12C27. 14C28N however is correct, even Sandvik calls it their 14C28N. That’s also where the typo comes from. I was too much in the flow with the 14C28N and gave 12C27 a little extra letter.
A refreshing, practical no-nonsense approach to reviews. Good stuff!
Hey Woodsman, thanks for the comparison of these two knives. Been waiting for it.
my pleasure ;)
Excellent video that shows the strengths and difference between the $/S and carbon
Great vid !
Thanks for your commentary in english. I have heard that the carbon is quicker to reshapen that the stainless. Did you find that? Mark
The Stainless Steel version of the Garberg has the 14C28N :) ...while the Kansbol has the 12C27, at least when I bought them over 2 years ago. :)

Love your videos, thank you!
Woot! More content in English please!
I’ve got the carbon Garberg and the Strongarm lol
Why do knife people baton with knives for videos but not in reality when camping? I go camping Neff all the time. I baton with a small forest axe.
Quite boring to see every bushcraft guy doing the same: batoning, ferrod rod and feather sticking. Be create and doing some else please.
These mora knives have and will continue to shame many commercial and custom knives for the price point and performance.
I don't like the handle of the Garberg. The shape feels very odd to me.
