The organ while very well played is very dominant with the opening fanfare and the choir very much in the background. I prefer the wonderful Mass Choir - Classic Hymns version from a Catholic Church (I think)in India which is superb. I have rarely heard a choir as good and passionate

I am a Catholic convert but I was raised southern Baptist and my church use to sing this hymn

The organ olaying is Absolutely superb, it needs to lead the congregation AND the choir. Also, the excellent fanfare introduction gives the congregation the proper melody and tempo. This is how we do it in the Catholic church in midtown Manhattan (Our Saviour).
I am familiar with the Indian classic recording, the choir is excellent but the very small organ is just to weak and lacks enough ensemble stops.
