I have only recently discovered the videos made by these Indian massed choirs. Their singing is stupendous. It looks effortless, which is one way of saying that a great deal of effort went into learning and practising the Great Hymns of the Church. There are also hymns in Hindi (?), of which the tunes were new to me but how delightful they are. Long may you continue to give so much joy around the world.

Have done close to 10 albumns ( each with 12 hymns each ) . Each album takes close to 10 months of planning , preparation ,practice and production . I agree that these hymns are utterly stupendous and brought out in all of their glory by the careful practice and performance of these massed choirs. I've sent them to others and soon hope to play one or two to my agnostic brother who lives near Oxford when I stay with him tomorrow for five days. We are good friends but he still rejects Christ as lord. If folks could pray for him - thanks so much!!

It's a splendid tune indeed!
Also in Brazilian Portuguese, with different lyrics, we have worshipped God for long time in our churches using a such beautiful German melody! In a recent service I record a small part in our worship and sent to a couple of German friends and surprised them also!

St. Thomas, one of the 12 disciples of Lord Jesus, landed on the shores of South India, in the State of Kerala. So they have been Christians long before the rest of the world!.. Sadly St. Thomas was murdered by the locals in the suburbs of the city of Madras now called Chennai. Mount St. Thomas( where he died) was named in his honor!. The Indian Christians had their own hymns in their respective languages, but with the advent of the British in India a few hundred years ago......the Indian Christians incorporated the English hymns in their Sunday church services!.
Beautiful choir from St. Andrew's, Chennai. I have been in Chennai twice St Thomas church and Egmore, Don Bosco., St. Thomas mount, lovely people there then we visited Valankanni shrine what a lovely place and lovely faithful people in Christ. May God bless them.
We were in Chennai in September 2019 visiting family. God willing we will visit this beautiful church when life returns to normal. The choir, the orchestra and singing of this great hymn took my breath away! Cheers from USA!

This must be the assembled choir masters of a very large area. I have never seen such an a number of finely trained voices and instrumentalists in sacred music outside the Vatican.

How wonderful....how marvellous. This worship lifted up by every nation is a witness to the Jew that died on the cross : our Lord Jesus Christ ..... the son of man .... the son of God. Read John 3:16. He endured the awful punishment that we upon accepting Him as Saviour, can be forgiven and adopted into God's eternal family .
