Try the Catholic Mass of the Ages, the Traditional Latin Mass. Beauty, dignity *and* the Most Blessed Sacrament. "My Flesh is food indeed. My Blood is drink indeed...whosoever eateth My flesh and drinketh My Blood shall have everlasting life and I will raise him up on the last day." John 6:56, 55
Thanks @CHOR GESANG for posting these snippets from the St Paul's service. It's been an overwhelming experience to have been part of our Queen's last Jubilee celebrations, and it's going to be many decades before we in the UK see anything like it again. As I write this, the last procession along the Mall is being screened. In a way, I'm glad I'm at home watching on TV and not there in person, I was totally shattered when I returned home on Thursday after being part of the celebrations, no wonder her Majesty was also knocked for six! I was born a Georgian, but for most of my life have been an Elizabethan, and what an exciting period in history it's been. I would live it all again in a heartbeat, given the chance! God Save The Queen, and thanks again for these 70 glorious years!.👏👏👏
If anything we have learned never to underestimate Her Majesty the Queen. We might very well see another Diamond at 75 or even and Oak Jubilee at 80. I pray that we will not part ways with the Queen for many years. She is a blessing to Britain, to the Commonwealth, and to humanity.
I love the Abbot's Leigh melody. This hymn is usually sung to the Austrian Hymn tune by Franz Josef Haydn. Austrian Hymn is also the tune used for the German national anthem, Deutschland Uber Alles, which people in the UK did not want to sing during World War II, especially when they were singing in a school auditorium because their church had been bombed. Cyril Taylor was director of music for the religious service of the BBC which had been moved to the little town of Abbot's Leigh during the war. He made it metrically identical to Austrian Hymn so that the British people could enjoy their hymn sung to a lovely English melody.
The tune is "Abbot's Leigh" by C V Taylor, and you can find the words with that tune as Hymn 257 in Hymns Ancient and Modern Revised, published by William Clowes in 1972. But that doesn't include the spectacular descant.
Not necessarily but the choir and organ leads the congregation. In English Church music best tunes are used and the melody is always highlighted and sung in unison rather than harmony. This simply means that the congregation sings the soprano part, irrespective of their vocal range (be it Alto, tenor or bass) while the choir sings in harmony. This hymn is usually sung to Austrian Hymn tune which is the tune for German National Anthem.
I am Catholic but Anglican hymns mobilize my spirit♥️✝️
I am Anglican and Catholic mass is suicidal. 😂

Bin immer wieder erstaunt, wie gut eine britische Gemeinde singt.
Das Arrangement ist großartig!

Great poem on Ps. 87 verse 3!
Please read the text of this hymn.
Does anyone have the music sheet of this version? Thank you very much in advance!

我記得一個調子是「山川壯麗,物產豐隆」版本的

Well they certainly couldn't use the "Austria" tune.....
They only had music by British composers for this service.
@@johnforsbergbarrett923 Rightfully so!
OK.
英国王が皆とドイツ国歌のメロディでこの歌は歌えないですね
