Origami was surprisingly useful for me while I was incarcerated. I was trying to find out if it's common in prison or jail because everyone really loved the cranes, fortune teller, and water bombs I made.(only things I could remember... Someone did remind me how to make a shuriken (didn't do that more than once though haha)). I forgot how to do a lot of origami I learned as a kid, so I was limited to those few things mostly cranes. But people started having arguments about my origami because I made a variety of small ones, medium, and big ones, first plain white then I start making intricate designs. Unfold it and make intertwining designs between the creases. They wanted them for their window sills like figurines, to send their girlfriends and kids back home. I mostly gave them out til people started fighting over who had which kind saying it's unfair when I'm making a fancy one they start asking for it "Hey he already has 4." "Yeah but they're all white. And small." Etc etc. It was nice kinda like being a big brother making toys for my nephews nieces or neighborhood kids. Having them fight over them too. They really appreciated and treated them like art pieces.
Was a great read. I always wondered if origami would be a good side hussle or not in prison as can imagine some situations it would be but I also suspect its just as good to do free like you did knowing makes allies incase needed?

Its actually not that hard, you just have to focus on what hes doing (you also can slow the video down)

I hate to be that guy but they actually mention in episode sixteen that the piece of orgami is really a crane and not a swan at all.
I saw that too, but I always type in 'swan' because there are better results.
